HEAT EXCHANGER

A heat exchanger includes a shell, refrigerant distributor, tube bundle, and first upper baffle. The shell has a refrigerant inlet through which at least refrigerant with liquid refrigerant flows and a shell refrigerant vapor outlet. A longitudinal center axis of the shell extends substantially parallel to a horizontal plane. The refrigerant distributor fluidly communicates with the refrigerant inlet and is disposed within the shell. The refrigerant distributor has at least one liquid refrigerant distribution opening that distributes liquid refrigerant. The tube bundle is disposed inside of the shell below the refrigerant distributor so that the liquid refrigerant discharged from the refrigerant distributor is supplied to the tube bundle. The first upper baffle is vertically disposed at a top of the tube bundle. The first upper baffle extends laterally outwardly from the tube bundle toward a first lateral side of the shell.

A microchannel evaporator includes a plurality of microchannels. Each of the plurality of microchannels includes a first end and a second end. A first end-tank is coupled to each first end of the plurality of microchannels and a second end-tank is coupled to each second end of the plurality of microchannels. An inlet is coupled to the first end-tank for receiving a fluid into the microchannel evaporator and an outlet is coupled to the second end-tank for expelling the fluid from the microchannel evaporator. Each microchannel of the plurality of microchannels is substantially U-shaped.

HEAT EXCHANGER

A tube plate of a heat exchanger includes a tube plate base material to which ends of a plurality of heat transfer tubes are fixed, a first backplate that covers a surface of the tube plate base material on a first tube chamber side, and a fastener that includes at least a shaft section and fixes the first backplate to the tube plate base material. The first backplate includes heat transfer tube insertion holes through which a plurality of heat transfer tubes are inserted, and an insertion hole through which the shaft section is loosely inserted. The first backplate is joined to an end section of a second partition wall on a first end side. The second partition wall, the first backplate, and the fastener are formed of a material having higher corrosion resistance than the tube plate base material.

A heat exchanger has a pass baffle which is formed as an enclosure with two openings, one opening for connection to a shell-side fluid opening and one opening for passing heat exchanger tubes.

METHOD FOR REMOVING A CONTAMINATION LAYER BY AN ATOMIC LAYER ETCHING PROCESS

A method for at least partially removing a contamination layer (24) from an optical surface (14a) of an optical element (14) that reflects EUV radiation includes: performing an atomic layer etching process for at least partially removing the contamination layer (24) from the optical surface (14a), which, in turn, includes: exposing the contamination layer (24) to a surface-modifying reactant (44) in a surface modification step, and exposing the contamination layer (24) to a material-detaching reactant (45) in a material detachment step. The optical element (14) is typically taken, before the atomic layer etching process is performed, from an optical arrangement, in particular from an EUV lithography system, in which the optical surface (14a) of the optical element (14) is exposed to EUV radiation (6), during which the contamination layer (24) is formed.

U-tube heat exchanger

A U-tube heat exchanger wherein a tube support plate divides the interior of a tube-exterior fluid chamber into a curved-tube chamber on a second end side including curved-tube sections of the U-tubes, and a chamber on a first end side. A second partition wall divides the interior of the chamber on the first end side inside the tube-exterior fluid chamber into a first straight-tube chamber including inlet-side straight-tube sections of the U-tubes, and a second straight-tube chamber including outlet-side straight-tube sections of the U-tubes. An opening penetrating from the first straight-tube chamber into the second straight-tube chamber is formed in the second partition wall. First passage holes, which penetrate from the first straight-tube chamber into the curved-tube chamber, and second passage holes, which penetrate from the second straight-tube chamber into the curved-tube chamber, are formed in the tube support plate.
