Bolt carrier and bolt for gas operated firearms
An improved bolt and bolt carrier with integral gas key having an extension nozzle threadedly secured and pinned to the gas key for use with a direct gas operated firearm is provided. The extension nozzle is designed to receive a portion of the host firearm's gas operating system. The firing pin retaining pin is oriented so as to expose its widest profile to the firing pin's annular flange, increasing its service life. The bolt has a plurality of lugs extending from its forward end. The extractor recess is constructed so that the face of the bolt is round and the adjacent lugs fully supported. The extractor engages approximately 17% more of a seated ammunition cartridge's rim as compared to the prior art AR15/M16 extractor. The result is an improved bolt and bolt carrier which provides for increased operational reliability.

Forward assist for a firearm
A forward assist that includes at least some of a plunger; a partially rotatable, spring biased pawl extending from a portion of the plunger; a projection extending from a first end of the plunger; and at least one head having a recess formed in at least a portion of the, wherein the head recess is mateable with the projection of the plunger, and wherein the head is secured to a first end of the plunger via interaction of the projection and the head recess.

Methods of firearm operations
A firearm includes a frame to which a barrel and slide are slideably mounted and in which a magazine is slideably received. A bumper telescoped on a push rod slideable with the slide pushes a shell in the magazine onto a pivotal carrier. Locking wings pivotally mounted to the barrel are cammed in troughs of a cam block as the barrel and the slide parallel to the longitudinal axis of the barrel relative to the cam block, so that lock tabs are removably received in locking recesses in the slide to removably lock the barrel and slide together. A trigger is slideably mounted to the frame for movement parallel to the longitudinal axis of the barrel for pivoting a sear lever engagable with a biased striker and moving a safety from an interfering position relative to the striker.

SLIDE ACTION RIFLE WITH A BOLT CARRIER LOCKING MECHANISM EXTERNAL TO THE RECEIVER
A sliding action for riles having an upper and a lower receiver in which the firing mechanism is totally installed OEM in the lower receiver, including a disconnector mechanism, and is fed by magazine. The OME gas operating system is removed, thus eliminating the semi-automatic mode feature, and substitutes the operating system by a Slide Action assembly having a kinematic chain of individually joint parts, which when assembled establish a solid array with one degree of freedom as a whole, and moving reciprocatingly along a path parallel to the barrel. The invention incorporates a structural guiding tube and supports to prevent buckling of the chain; a handguard; a sliding mobile forend with a polygonal open concave, symmetrical shape incorporating the guides for the sliding mobile forend. An external locking mechanism, installed in the forend locks the Slide Action against the grounded handguard. A driver clamp connects externally the Sliding chain.
