ADJUSTABLE GAS BLOCK
Systems and methods for an adjustable gas block are described. Systems may include an adjustment subassembly. The adjustment subassembly may include a valve stem end with a front-most portion larger in diameter than the rear-most portion and a boss extending from the forward portion of the valve stem end; a valve ring surrounding the boss of the valve stem end; a valve threaded portion for receiving the boss of the valve stem end and having a threaded portion; and a valve rotator coupled to the valve threaded portion for adjusting the flow of gas. Systems may include a gas block assembly. The gas block assembly may include a gas block through hole; a first duct to direct pressurized gas from a barrel to a plenum; a second duct to direct a regulated volume of gas to a gas operating system; a seat valve to control the regulated volume of gas to the gas operating system; and a gas block threaded portion for coupling to the valve threaded portion. The adjustment subassembly may be coupled to the gas block assembly.
Firearm with adjustable gas block regulator
Firearms with adjustable gas block regulators have a receiver defining a passage receiving a reciprocating bolt assembly, a barrel defining a barrel axis and extending from the receiver and defining a barrel gas aperture, a gas block connected to the barrel and having a gas block inlet registered with the barrel gas aperture, the gas block defining a gas block bore transverse to the barrel axis and in communication with the gas block inlet, the gas block bore defining a gas block bore axis, the gas block defining a gas outlet in communication with the gas block bore, a regulator closely received in the bore and operable to reciprocate along the gas block bore between at least a first position and a different second position, the regulator defining first and second gas paths having different gas flow characteristics.

GAS BLOCK FOR A FIREARM
This invention relates to a gas block for high rate of fire tactical rifles and carbines such as the M16/AR15 family of firearms. More particularly, an adjustable gas block is disclosed that enables the user to dynamically adjust exhaust gas discharges by manipulating a gas block regulator.

Reducing the Size of a Gas Port of a Gas Operated Firearm
Usually when a gas port of a gas operated firearm is oversized or eroded, or a firearm is being modified, for example, to use a suppressor, the barrel often has to be replaced with a barrel having a smaller sized gas port; this is particularly wasteful when the original barrel is otherwise serviceable for many more thousands of rounds. The present invention reduces the need to replace the barrel.

Semiautomatic firearm
A semiautomatic firearm is presented that is a combination of known parts from the AR-15 style firearms and AK-47 style firearms and new parts. The firearm includes a receiver and a removable trunnion inserted into the receiver. A barrel is threaded and pinned into the trunnion and an adjustable gas block is connected to the barrel. The gas block includes a gas bore and an adjustable member that extends into and out of the gas bore thereby adjusting the amount of gases that travel through the gas block. The firearm also includes a foregrip installed over the barrel and gas block. The foregrip has a pattern of venting openings therein and an opening that provides access to the adjustable member of the gas block as well as a top rail and a bottom rail. The combination of these components provides a semiautomatic firearm that operates smoothly while being rugged and durable.

Adjustable Gas Block
A system for an adjustable gas block. The gas block body has a main chamber fluidly coupled to a gas aperture which is fluidly connected to a plunger channel and a gas return path. Downstream of the gas block body is a plunger assembly which includes a ring and a plunger. Further downstream is an adjustment knob which is coupled to the gas block body and which is adjustable upstream and downstream relative to the gas block body. The volume of plunger inserted into the channel path is controlled by the adjustment knob.
