LONG GUN STABILIZATION APPARATUS FOR USE WITH HARD BODY ARMOR

A long gun stabilization kit for use with a body armor vest, including a vest clip and a butt end portion. The vest clip includes a clip body and a ball, and has vest attachment means for attaching to the body armor vest. The vest clip is characterized by a vest interface plane having a normal, and the ball is connected to the clip body by a projection extending from the clip body at an angle that is downward, and left or right relative to the normal. The butt end portion has a socket shaped to receive the ball and permit rotation about at least one axis. Body armor may comprise a vest clip connected to a body armor vest. A long gun may have a barrel, and a stock having a butt end, a portion of the butt end having a socket of fixed geometry.

A rifle holder hinge mechanism comprising a support block with rifle hook attached thereto, the support block having a sleeve for receiving a hinge pin, and a hinge block, the hinge block having a hinge block sleeve, with a hinge pin rotatable within the hinge block sleeve. The support block further comprises a projection or detent, and the hinge block further comprise a cutaway or recess configured to receive the detent and limit rotation of the detent of the support block relative to the hinge block. Rotation may be limited 90 degrees such that the rifle holder hinge mechanism has a first position for receiving a weapon and a second position when it is not in use.

An attachable foot assembly designed to be attached to a lower portion of a camera tripod stand leg is provided. The bottom surface of the foot attachment is interchangeable and is chosen depending on the environment in which the tripod is to be used. For example, if the tripod is to be used for lateral movement upon a smooth ground surface (e.g., carpeted floors, hardwood floors, tiled surfaces, natural grass, AstroTurf, etc.), the bottom surface of the foot attachments may be chosen to be wide, convex, and smooth to enable the tripod to smoothly slide laterally upon the surface. In addition, the attachable foot assembly includes a rotatable mount enabling the attachment to fit upon tripod legs at various angles and to move over uneven surfaces.

Rifle rest for a vertical support post and associated methods

The rifle rest is for use with a vertical support post. The rifle rest includes a body including a collar configured to substantially surround the vertical support post, and at least one tightening mechanism coupled to the collar and configured to tighten the collar and position the body at a selected height on the vertical support post. A pivotable arm, defining a rifle rest platform, is pivotally coupled to the body and configured to be pivoted between a stored position adjacent the vertical support post and a deployed position extending away from the vertical support post. The pivotable arm is coupled to the body via a pivotal resistance that keeps the pivotable arm selectively secured in the stored position and the deployed position, respectively, until a user overcomes the pivotable resistance and pivots the pivotable arm to selectively store the pivotable arm and deploy the pivotable arm.
