DRAIN PETCOCK

A drain petcock having a central channel for drainage, a side wall aperture for draining, and a closing plug that closes the central channel and overlies the side wall aperture. The partial removal of the closing plug enables a controlled flow for initial draining. A full removal of the closing plug enables a more controlled flow through the central channel for further draining.

20200116053 · 2020-04-16 ·

A drain tube device that includes a first tubular region, a second region and arcuate tubular region interposed between the first tubular region and the second region. In certain embodiments, the arcuate region is contiguously joined to the first tubular and the second region such that the first tubular region and the second region form an acute angle in a first plane that is between 45 and 90. The second region has an end distal to the arcuate tubular region and includes a longitudinal opening defined in at least a portion of the region between the arcuate tubular region and the distal end. In certain embodiments, the arcuate region can also have a configuration that provides an angle located out of the first plane between the first tubular region and the second region that is between zero and 90.

TECHNIQUE FOR COLLECTING AND MEASURING OIL DRAINED FROM A VEHICLE
20200049037 · 2020-02-13 ·

Apparatus for collecting and measuring oil drained from a vehicle includes a receptacle and a valve. The receptacle includes a wide upper oil collection portion with an upper receptacle wall configured to collect and contain oil drained from a vehicle, and includes a narrower lower outlet portion having a lower receptacle wall configured to allow the oil to drain from the receptacle via a gravity feed. The receptacle has markings arranged on at least one of the upper receptacle wall or the lower receptacle wall and configured to measure the oil drained and collected from the vehicle. The valve includes an upper valve inlet and coupling portion configured to connect to the narrower lower outlet portion of the receptacle and allow the oil to drain into the valve, includes a valve opening/closing portion configured either to open and allow the oil to drain through the valve or to close and allow oil to collect in the receptacle, and includes a lower valve outlet and coupling portion configured to connect to a tube or oil basin/reservoir to allow the oil to drain from the valve into the tube or oil basin/reservoir.

CONDITION MONITORING POD

Apparatuses are disclosed including an apparatus for machine fluid monitoring or sampling comprising a transparent sight glass attachable to a machine such that machine fluid is transferable to the sight glass. The sight glass is at least partially constructed of one or more materials that is transparent to light in a visible region. The sight glass has an open first end, a closed second end, an inside surface and an outside surface extending from the open first end to the closed second end and across the closed second end, the sight glass at least partially surrounds a cavity within the sight glass, the inside surface and the outside surface of the closed second end being parallel. The closed second end is constructed of the one or more materials that are transparent to light in the visible region to allow inspection of machine fluid through the closed second end.
