The heating unit H also comprises at least one support structure (19, 19.1) which is arranged on the end face relative to the heating band (14) and mechanically connected to the casing (13) and has slot-shaped heating band bearings (27) to retain the heating band (14) inside the casing (13), into which slot-shaped heating band bearings (27) the heating band (14) engages by an edge portion and via which support structure (19) the heating band (14) is electrically insulated from the casing (13).
CONNECTION UNIT
A connection unit for connecting an electrical supply line to an exhaust gas heater of an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine includes an electrically conductive connection element. The connection element has a heater connection region in a first end region and a supply line connection region in a second end region. A carrier has a receiving opening, wherein the connection element is arranged and has a support region. A first insulating element is arranged in the opening and surrounds the support region. A second insulating element is arranged on a first end face of the carrier. The connection element is supported with respect to the first end face via the second insulating element. A third insulating element is arranged on a second end face of the carrier. The connection element is supported with respect to this second end face via the third insulating element.

An exhaust gas heater for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine includes a carrier arrangement and a heat conductor arrangement which is carried on the carrier arrangement and which has at least one heat conductor through which current flows. At least one heat conductor is carried with respect to the carrier arrangement via at least one carrier arrangement support unit in an electrically insulated manner. At least one carrier arrangement support unit includes a carrier arrangement support element having a curved support face.

A connecting arrangement securely connects the heating-conductor arrangement to the carrier arrangement and also a length-compensating arrangement for compensating for different thermal expansions of components of the exhaust gas heater.

A connecting arrangement securely connects the heating-conductor arrangement to the carrier arrangement and also a length-compensating arrangement for compensating for different thermal expansions of components of the exhaust gas heater.
