THEFT DETECTION SYSTEM FOR CATALYTIC CONVERTER
A theft detection system includes a sensor having a magnetic ball axially moveably supported within an axial opening in the spool having an electrical coil wound around the spool such that movement of the ball creates electrical signals in the coil. A housing is configured to support and vibrationally couple the sensor to a vehicle exhaust system. A circuit is coupled to the electrical coil to receive the electrical signals and generate an alarm signal in response to movement of the ball being indicative of vibration of the exhaust system resulting from exhaust system tampering.
SADDLE RIDING VEHICLE
A saddle riding vehicle includes a body frame, an exhaust pipe, a muffler, and a catalyst. The body frame includes a main frame, a seat frame that extends rearward from the main frame and supports a seat for occupant, and a rear frame that extends from the main frame upward to a rear and is connected to the seat frame. The exhaust pipe extends rearward of the vehicle from an exhaust port of an engine. The muffler is connected to a rear end portion of the exhaust pipe. The catalyst is disposed in the muffler. An air cleaner box is disposed rearward of the engine. The catalyst disposed in the muffler is disposed in a space surrounded by the main frame, the seat frame, and the rear frame and overlaps with the air cleaner box as viewed in a side view of the vehicle.
Exhaust gas aftertreatment module support assembly
An exhaust gas aftertreatment module support assembly for supporting an exhaust gas aftertreatment module above a cylinder head and a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine includes a first mounting bracket, a second mounting bracket, and a cradle assembly. The first mounting bracket is configured to be coupled to the cylinder block. The second mounting bracket is configured to be coupled to the cylinder block. The cradle assembly is selectively coupled to the first mounting bracket and the second mounting bracket. The cradle assembly includes a first cradle bracket and a second cradle bracket. The first cradle bracket has a first cradle bracket cradle surface that is configured to interface with the exhaust gas aftertreatment module.
Work vehicle
A work vehicle is disclosed that includes an elastic support mechanism for supporting an exhaust muffler. The elastic support mechanism includes a support platform member, elastic cylindrical members and a bar-shaped member. The support platform member is supported by a rear-linking frame bar to adjust a position of the support platform member along one of lateral and longitudinal directions of the body frame. An elastic cylindrical member is supported by one of the support platform member and the exhaust muffler. The elastic cylindrical member has an axis extending along the other of the lateral and longitudinal directions, and is supported at a single position, in a direction of the axis, of one of the support platform member and the exhaust muffler. A bar-shaped member supported by the other of the support platform member and the exhaust muffler is fitted into the elastic cylindrical member to be supported by the elastic cylindrical member.
Muffler with internal gap heat shield
A vehicle having a frame and an internal combustion engine. An exhaust system extends from the internal combustion engine. The exhaust system includes an exhaust muffler with an exhaust hanger. The exhaust hanger is secured to the frame with an elastic member. An internal heat shield is located on an inner surface of the exhaust muffler to form an interior space between the internal heat shield and the exhaust muffler. The internal heat shield reduces the heat transferred to the elastic member.
COMPONENT FOR AN EXHAUST SYSTEM OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A component for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine includes a component housing (22) elongated in the direction of a housing axis with an exhaust gas inlet (21) and with an exhaust gas outlet (24) and a carrier assembly unit (28) for connecting the component (16) to a carrier structure. The carrier assembly unit (28) includes a carrier rod (46), the carrier rod (46) being fixed to the component housing (22) in at least two fastening areas (60, 62) located at spaced locations from one another along the carrier rod (46). The carrier assembly unit (28) has at least one carrier rod connection area (52, 54) for connection to the carrier structure.
Electric energy generating device
Electric energy generating device (1) for installation to an exhaust conduit (2) in which an exhaust gas (9) is flowing, comprising: a thermoelectric generator (3) comprising a hot side (4) and a cold side (5), at least one hot side heat transfer loop (6) comprising a fluid conduit circuit having a thermal fluid circulating therein, and where the fluid conduit circuit comprises: a first in section (7) n thermal contact with the hot side (4), a second section (8) adapted to be in thermal contact with the exhaust gas (9), a third section (10) and a fourth section (11), wherein the third section (10) and the fourth section (11) each comprises at least one vibrational damping part (12), wherein each of the at least one vibrational damping part (12) comprises a heat resistant and flexible tube integrated into the third section (10) and the fourth section (11) of the fluid conduit circuit.
Adjustable Mounting for Exhaust Treatment Component
An exhaust treatment component may be mounted in brackets, each bracket having a clamping surface which in a use orientation is arranged in parallel with a corresponding mounting surface of a fixed mount, the mounting surfaces defining adjustment planes which are spaced apart along a length axis of the mount. Each bracket may be adjusted independently in its use orientation to define a variable clamping position in the adjustment plane. In another aspect, the component may be mounted in one or more brackets, each bracket comprising curved contact surface, each surface being defined by an arc of a respective circle, each arc being contained in the circle of the other respective arc, whereby the centre points of the respective circles are spaced apart in the reference plane so that each arc is contained in the circle of the other respective arc.
