Method and device for operating a drive device, and drive device
A method for operating a drive device of a motor vehicle, having an internal combustion engine and at least one switchable mechanism. The mechanism can be switched to change an operating state influencing a fuel consumption and switching causes an increased fuel consumption. It is proposed that a torque and a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine are predicted depending on a current operating situation, that a dwell time of the mechanism in a switching state is predicted depending on the torque and the rotational speed, and that the mechanism for changing the operating state is actuated depending on the dwell time.
Multifunctional electronic gear shift lever for simultaneous manipulation and method of controlling the same
A multifunctional electronic gear shift lever for simultaneous manipulation includes a cylindrical lever rotatably inserted into a support which is disposed in a center fascia surface or a console surface of a vehicle and having an entrance opening that penetrates the cylindrical lever in a longitudinal direction. A start button is disposed at a lower side of the entrance opening, connected with a controller via a spring, and moving in a vertical direction. A display is disposed on the center fascia surface or the console surface, and displays a gear shift stage of the vehicle and a state of the vehicle. The gear shift stage is changeable by rotating the cylindrical lever while simultaneously starting an engine of the vehicle by operating the start button.
Work vehicle
A work vehicle includes an engine mounted on a traveling body including traveling wheels; a hydraulic stepless transmission that shifts a speed of the driving force from the engine; a gear shift pedal that performs an acceleration/deceleration operation of a shifted output from the hydraulic stepless transmission; and a control section that controls the engine and the hydraulic stepless transmission based on the operation amount of the gear shift pedal. When an operation on a set switch is received in a state where the gear shift pedal is pressed by a foot operation in an auto-cruise standby mode, the control section stores the vehicle speed and the number of engine revolutions in accordance with the foot operation position of the gear shift pedal and shifts to an auto-cruise mode.
System and method of controlling engine provided with dual continuously variable valve duration device
A system of controlling an engine includes: an engine including a combustion chamber, an intake valve, an ignition switch, and an exhaust valve; a dual continuously variable valve duration device to adjust an intake duration of the intake valve and an exhaust duration of the exhaust valve; and a controller for adjusting an ignition timing of the ignition switch, the intake duration, and the exhaust duration based on a driving condition of the vehicle. In particular, until the temperature of the exhaust gas reaches a predetermined temperature after the engine starts, the controller sets the ignition timing to an ignition timing within a predetermined ignition timing range, sets the intake duration of the intake valve to an intake duration within a predetermined intake duration range, and increases the exhaust duration of the exhaust valve to a limit exhaust duration according to the set intake duration.
METHOD AND SYSTEM OF CORRECTING FUEL INJECTION QUANTITY OF VEHICLE
A method of correcting a fuel injection quantity of a vehicle corrects the fuel injection quantity prior to activation of a lambda sensor when an engine is turned on. Additionally, the method increases a speed for activating a catalyst to reduce a harmful substance in exhaust gas at the beginning of engine starting.
Vehicle control device
A vehicle control device configured to be capable of executing idle stop control to automatically stop an engine when a predetermined automatic stop condition is satisfied and restart the engine when a predetermined restart condition is satisfied during the automatic stop of the engine, the vehicle control device includes: a start request detector, a shift position detector, and a delay time setting module. A start request detector detects a driver operation indicating a request for starting the engine by a driver. A shift position detector detects a shift position of a shift changer. A delay time setting module sets, on a basis of presence or absence of the driver operation and the shift position, a delay time from when the engine is restarted until when an automatic stop of the engine is permitted.
Managing engine firing fraction changes during gear shifts
Methods and controllers for coordinating firing fraction transitions that occur in conjunction with transmission shifts are described. In some embodiments, when a transmission shift to a target gear is expected, a target firing fraction is determined that is desired for use after the shift has completed. In selected circumstances, the change to the target firing fraction is initiated prior to the shift to the target gear. The transition to the target firing fraction preferably completes before an inertia/speed phase of the shift. In other embodiments, the engine transitions to all cylinder operation or other suitable transitional firing fraction in response to an expected transmission shift. After the shift completes, a transition is made to a target firing fraction. The described approaches are well suited for use during skip fire or other cylinder output level modulation operation of the engine and are particularly beneficial during up-shifts.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE
A control device for an engine, includes: an air intake controller controlling a quantity of intake air to be supplied to a catalyst provided in an exhaust passage by controlling an open degree of a throttle valve provided in an intake passage; a fuel controller controlling fuel supply to the engine, wherein the fuel controller stops the fuel supply and the air intake controller performs a first control supplying intake air to the catalyst by opening the throttle valve, for a predetermined period of time after an end of the first control, the fuel controller stops the fuel supply, and the air intake controller performs a second control decreasing the open degree of the throttle valve to an open degree smaller than that during the first control, and after the predetermined period of time passes, the fuel controller starts a third control supplying the fuel to the engine.
ENGINE MISFIRE DETECTION DEVICE
An engine misfire detection device such that an engine misfire state can be accurately detected is obtained. The engine misfire detection device includes an engine rotational speed change amount detector that detects an engine rotational speed change amount, an engine rotational speed change amount threshold setter that sets a threshold with respect to the rotational speed change amount, and a misfire detector that compares the rotational speed change amount and the threshold, carries out a misfire determination on the engine when the rotational speed change amount exceeds the threshold, and carries out a misfire detection, wherein the misfire detector prohibits the misfire determination when a switching between a differentially locked state and an unlocked state is carried out.
