Electronic Speed Control System
A smart governor system that intercepts and adjusts throttle commands when certain criteria are met based on vehicle operations and a user-selected transmission mode. The governor, when engaged, reduces a throttle command in order limit engine and/or ground speed.
ENGINE SYSTEM
An engine system is provided, which includes a supercharger driven by a crankshaft of an engine, an electromagnetic clutch disconnectably connecting the crankshaft to the supercharger, and a controller configured to output a control signal to the electromagnetic clutch. The controller includes a processor configured to execute an uphill-angle detecting module to detect an uphill angle during traveling of a vehicle, an uphill determining module to determine whether the detected uphill angle is above a given first uphill angle, and a boost controlling module to, when the detected uphill angle is above the first uphill angle, control the electromagnetic clutch to connect the crankshaft to the supercharger even when a target torque of the engine is within a not-boosting range.
Engine misfire detection device
An engine misfire detection device such that an engine misfire state can be accurately detected is obtained. The engine misfire detection device includes an engine rotational speed change amount detector that detects an engine rotational speed change amount, an engine rotational speed change amount threshold setter that sets a threshold with respect to the rotational speed change amount, and a misfire detector that compares the rotational speed change amount and the threshold, carries out a misfire determination on the engine when the rotational speed change amount exceeds the threshold, and carries out a misfire detection, wherein the misfire detector prohibits the misfire determination when a switching between a differentially locked state and an unlocked state is carried out.
Systems and methods for synchronizing shifting across marine propulsion devices
A method for synchronizing shifting of transmissions across marine propulsion devices. The method includes receiving a signal to shift the transmissions and identifying a predetermined shifting time for each of the transmissions, where the predetermined shifting time represents an elapsed time between starting the shifting and completing the shifting. The method further includes comparing the predetermined shifting times to determine a longest shifting time, calculating for each of the transmissions an offset time that is a difference between the corresponding predetermined shifting time and the longest shifting time, and sending a signal to start the shifting of each of the transmissions after waiting the offset time for that transmission such that the transmissions all complete the shifting at the same time.
Method for ascertaining the target rotational speed of a drive machine of a work machine comprising a continuously variable transmission and a working hydraulic system
A process for determining a setpoint rotational speed of a work machine engine, having a continuously variable transmission, based on operation of power hydraulics. The setpoint rotational speed for highly productive operation is determined, without knowledge current operation of the power hydraulics, by a basic engine speed setting. With knowledge of the current operating state, the setpoint rotational speed is determined by the basic speed settings and low or high engine speed settings. The low speed setting alone determines setpoint rotational speeds that are lower than the basic speed setting or a combination of the low and basic speed settings. The high speed setting alone determines setpoint rotational speeds that are higher than the basic speed setting or a combination of the basic and high speed settings. The speed settings can comprise a setpoint rotational speed range of above a reciprocal transmission range of the variable transmission.
Electronic speed control system
A smart governor system that intercepts and adjusts throttle commands when certain criteria are met based on vehicle operations and a user-selected transmission mode. The governor, when engaged, reduces a throttle command in order limit engine and/or ground speed.
Torque monitoring device
A torque monitoring device monitors the occurrence of an abnormal torque state causing an estimated torque as an estimated value for an actual torque of an internal combustion engine to differ from an engine-requested torque required of the internal combustion engine and includes: a discrete value setup unit configured to increase a discrete value correspondingly to increase in a difference quantity between the estimated torque and the engine-requested torque; an accumulation unit configured calculate an accumulation value of the discrete value; and a determination unit configured to determine that the abnormal torque state occurs when the accumulation value becomes larger than or equal to a predetermined abnormality determination threshold value.
System for limiting a revolution speed of an internal combustion engine
A method for limiting a revolution speed of an internal combustion engine (E) of a sports car, the method comprising a first step (Step 1) of acquiring a nominal speed value of said internal combustion engine, a second step (Step 2) of measuring a revolution speed of said internal combustion engine, when (CHK) a measured revolution speed of said internal combustion engine has reached (yes) an activation speed approximately equal to said nominal speed, the method comprising a third step (Step 3) of setting a predetermined initial torque value (a) to be delivered by said internal combustion engine and simultaneously a fourth step (Step 4) of carrying out a feedback control of a torque delivery of said internal combustion engine.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR UTILIZING CYLINDER DEACTIVATION WHEN A VEHICLE IS IN A REVERSE OPERATING MODE
A controller for a vehicle includes at least one processor and at least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the controller to perform various operations. The operations include determining that the vehicle is in reverse and in response, deactivating a cylinder of an engine of the vehicle.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SMOOTH TRANSMISSION ENGAGEMENT AND DISENGAGEMENT
Systems and methods for transitioning a hybrid vehicle from park or neutral to drive or reverse are presented. In one example, a requested engine speed is adjusted in response to a transmission disengaging indication and a transmission disengaging timer when a transmission is being disengaged from a gear. In another example, the requested engine speed is adjusted in response to a transmission engaging indication and a transmission engaging timer when the transmission is being engaged to a gear.
