Fuel supply device
A fuel supply device includes a surface level detection device that detects a surface level of fuel through use of a float. A supply main body is placed in a fuel tank through an insertion opening and supplies the fuel to an outside. A surface level detection unit, which includes the float, is rotatable relative to the supply main body, and a rotational range of the surface level detection unit is set to include at least an inserting direction of the supply main body. A distal end part of the surface level detection unit, which is furthermost from an imaginary rotational center axis in the surface level detection unit, is placed on an upper side of an imaginary plane, which includes the imaginary rotational center axis and a center of gravity of the surface level detection unit, in a rotational direction of the surface level detection unit.
Fuel supply module and control system
In at least some implementations, a fuel supply module includes a reservoir and a fuel pump carried by the reservoir. The reservoir may include a body and a lid that define an internal volume to contain a supply of fuel, and the reservoir may include an inlet through which fuel enters the internal volume and an outlet from which fuel is discharged from the fuel supply module. The fuel pump is carried by the reservoir and has a first inlet communicating with the internal volume to take fuel into the fuel pump from the internal volume and a second inlet spaced above the first inlet relative to the direction of the force of gravity to take fluid or vapors into the fuel pump from the internal volume. The fuel pump includes an outlet from which fluid is discharged for delivery to an engine through the reservoir outlet.
Fuel supply device
A fuel supply device includes a fuel pump, a pump case, a cap, an O-ring, and a connection assembly. The pump case includes a case main body configured to receive the fuel pump and a discharge port connector. The cap includes a suction port connector. The O-ring is interposed between a fuel discharge port of the fuel pump and discharge port connector. The connection assembly includes a plurality of engagement projections and a plurality of engagement pieces configured to mate and engage with the engagement projections. The fuel discharge port of the fuel pump is configured to reach the O-ring coupled to the discharge port connector of the pump case simultaneous with the engagement between the engagement projections and the engagement pieces when the fuel suction port of the fuel pump and the suction port connector of the cap are connected together.
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE
In a fuel supply device including a regulator and float-type level sensor, a fitting tube is formed integrally with an upper housing, a fuel pump being retained between the upper and lower housings. An outer periphery of a base part of the regulator is fitted into the tube. A regulator retaining member is formed as a separate member from the upper housing and retains the regulator in cooperation with the tube. The tube and the retaining member are joined via a snap-fit join part provided on fitting parts therebetween. The snap-fit join part is formed by engaging a projecting portion or a recess part, formed on an elastic piece provided on one of the fitting parts between the retaining member and the tube, with the recess part or the projecting portion formed on the other fitting part. A sensor support arm is molded as a unit with the retaining member.
Fuel supply device
A fuel supply device includes a flange, a pump unit, a supporting pillar, and a boss. The flange is attached to an opening portion of a fuel tank. The supporting pillar supports a sub tank such that the sub tank is positioned closer to and away from the flange. The boss is fixed at the flange and an end of the supporting pillar is inserted into the boss. The boss is made of a material different from that of the flange. The boss includes a stress concentration portion that is preferentially broken when a force equal to or greater than a predetermined value is applied to an end portion of the supporting pillar in an axis perpendicular direction.
Cover for fuel tank
A cover for a fuel tank includes a flange unit configured to close an opening of the fuel tank and a joint member connected to the flange unit. The joint member is movable in an upward/downward direction. The flange unit includes a side tubular portion extending in the upward/downward direction. The joint member includes a support column portion extending in the upward/downward direction. The support column portion is movably disposed in the side tubular portion so as to be movable in the upward/downward direction. The support column portion is connected to the side tubular portion by a snap-fit so as to be movable and suspendable in the upward/downward direction.
Fuel supply device
A fuel supply device includes a pump unit, a lid unit and a strut linking unit. The pump unit is located on a bottom of a fuel tank for discharging fuel from the fuel tank to an outside thereof. The lid unit is attached to an upper wall of the fuel tank to close an opening formed in the upper wall. The lid unit has a fuel discharge port. The strut linking unit connects the lid unit to the pump unit. The strut linking unit includes an upper-side strut member, which is formed as an independent component from the lid unit. The strut linking unit includes a lower-side strut member, which is movably connected to the upper-side strut member in a vertical direction. The upper-side strut member is connected to the lid unit by a snap-fit connection. A connecting portion between the upper-side strut member and the lid unit has a stress concentration portion, which is preferentially damaged when an external force is applied to the strut linking unit.
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE
A fuel supply device, which is mounted on a fuel tank, includes a lid member that covers an opening of the fuel tank, arm members mounted on the lid member, and a component mounted on the lid member via the arm members. The arm members and the component have an engaging structure which engages each other by elastic deformation of the arm members. The arm members are made of a resin material having a higher elastic modulus than the resin material forming the lid member.
