FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE
A fuel supply device is provided with a tank lid closing a through-hole in a tank wall of a fuel tank and sends fuel in the fuel tank to an outside of the fuel tank when fixed to the fuel tank by interposing the tank lid between the tank wall and a fixing member. The tank lid has a lid-side contact surface portion which is in an exposed outer surface exposed outside the fuel tank and is in contact with a fixed-side contact surface portion of the fixing member screwed into the tank wall along an outer circumferential portion of the tank lid. The lid-side contact surface portion is provided with an acid-resistant coating film set with surface free energy different from surface free energy set to the fixed-side contact surface portion.
Fuel supply device
A fuel supply device (1) has a valve (13) in a fuel passage between a fuel pump (3) and an engine (5). In a storage portion of an ECU (18-21) is stored a relationship between a fuel pressure and a flow rate, which are required by the engine, and voltage which is supplied to a motor (7). The ECU senses voltages V26, V27, V28 supplied to the motor from a controller (22) when the valve is opened from change points C1′, C2′, C3′ at which a characteristic between the voltage and the current which are supplied to the motor (7) is changed. Then, the ECU corrects the voltage stored in the storage portion on the basis of differences between voltages V1, V2, V5 stored in the storage portion at the change points C1, C2, C3 and the voltages V26, V27, V28 when the valve is opened. In this way, the fuel supply device can correctly control the motor in correspondence to the fuel pressure and the flow rate which are required by the engine.
Fuel-conveying system for use in a vehicle
A fuel-conveying system includes: a primary fuel pump, configured to supply fuel to an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, at a fuel pressure; a suction jet pump configured to convey fuel from a first region of a fuel tank of the vehicle to a second region of the fuel tank, the at least one suction jet pump having a nozzle; and a secondary fuel pump, decoupled from the primary fuel pump and configured to: supply, as required, the suction jet pump with a fuel jet, and set, independently of the primary fuel pump, a pressure of the fuel jet before the nozzle of the suction jet pump.
FUEL PUMP WITH IMPROVED DELIVERY PROPERTIES
The present invention relates to a fuel pump (1) which comprises a pump housing (2), a delivery element (3) for delivering fuel, a heat-generating actuator (4) for actuating the delivery element (3), a first fuel path (5) which leads from an inlet (20) to a delivery space (7), and a second fuel path (6) which leads from the inlet (20) past the heat-generating actuator (4) to a first housing opening (21), wherein the first housing opening (21) is arranged above the inlet (20) in the vertical direction (V). The present invention also relates to a fuel pump arrangement which comprises a fuel pump (1) according to the invention and a fuel tank (10) in which the fuel pump (1) is at least partially and preferably entirely arranged. The present invention also relates to a method for operating a fuel pump (1).
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE
A swirling wall structure-extends from a lower side toward an upper side in a sub-tank, and a fuel flow, which is outputted into an inside of the sub-tank from a flow outlet of a diffuser passage opened toward a lateral side, is swirled by the swirling wall structure. The swirling wall structure-includes a curved wall surface and a U-turn wall surface. The curved wall surface is curved about a longitudinal axis, which extends from the lower side toward the upper side in the sub-tank, to bend the fuel flow outputted from the flow outlet. The U-turn wall surface extends continuously from the curved wall surface to make a U-turn of the fuel flow, which is bent by the curved wall surface.
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE
A fuel supply device includes a fuel pump, a filter case, a fuel passage, a discharge passage, and a residual pressure holding valve. A communication port opens at a shifted position of the fuel passage that is positionally shifted from the residual pressure holding valve toward the discharge passage. The fuel passage includes an outside passage part through which fuel flows from the communication port toward the discharge passage, and an inside passage part that throttles a flow of fuel flowing from the communication port toward the residual pressure holding valve more than the outside passage part. When a passage cross-sectional area of the inside passage part is converted into a passage cross-sectional area of a circular pipe, D which is a passage diameter of the circular pipe, and L which is a length of the inside passage part satisfy a relational expression of L/D≧3.

Fuel supply device
A fuel supply device includes a fuel pump, a sub-tank configured to store a fuel, a leakage passage configured to return a part of a pressurized fuel discharged from the fuel pump into the sub-tank, and a fuel filter disposed at a bottom part of the sub-tank. The fuel filter includes a filter member that is configured to filter the fuel to be suctioned into the fuel pump. A downstream end of the leakage passage includes a linear passage part linearly extending from a position above the filter member toward the filter member. The fuel supply device also includes a direction change wall part configured to change the flow direction of the pressurized fuel jetted from the linear passage part so as to prevent the pressurized fuel from directly impacting the filter member.

Fuel supply device
In a fuel supply device including a regulator and float-type level sensor, a fitting tube is formed integrally with an upper housing, a fuel pump being retained between the upper and lower housings. An outer periphery of a base part of the regulator is fitted into the tube. A regulator retaining member is formed as a separate member from the upper housing and retains the regulator in cooperation with the tube. The tube and the retaining member are joined via a snap-fit join part provided on fitting parts therebetween. The snap-fit join part is formed by engaging a projecting portion or a recess part, formed on an elastic piece provided on one of the fitting parts between the retaining member and the tube, with the recess part or the projecting portion formed on the other fitting part. A sensor support arm is molded as a unit with the retaining member.
