Nozzle plate for fuel injection unit
A nozzle hole of a nozzle plate is connected to a fuel injection nozzle of a fuel injection unit through a swirl chamber and first and second fuel guide grooves opened to the swirl chamber. The swirl chamber is an oval recess provided with the nozzle orifice in its center. A first fuel guide groove is opened to one end side of a major axis of the oval recess, and a second fuel guide groove is opened to the other end side of the major axis of the oval recess. The first and second fuel guide grooves are formed such that the same amount of fuel flows to the swirl chamber. The same amount of fuel flowing from the first and second fuel guide grooves to the swirl chamber is guided to the nozzle orifice at the same time while revolving inside the swirl chamber in the same direction.
LIQUID FUEL INJECTOR HAVING DUAL NOZZLE OUTLET SETS, FUEL SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A liquid fuel injector for a fuel system in an internal combustion engine includes two injection control valves for controlling two outlet checks. A common nozzle supply cavity is fluidly connected to an inlet passage and supplies each of the two sets of nozzle outlets opened and closed by the outlet checks. A first nozzle outlet set forms a narrower spray angle and has a first combination of outlet number and outlet size, and a second nozzle outlet set forms a wider spray angle and has a second combination of outlet number and outlet size. The first nozzle outlet set has a greater steady flow than the second nozzle outlet set.
Fuel nozzle with increased spray angle range
A gas turbine engine fuel nozzle comprises a spray tip defining a fuel exit passage therethrough that extends along a central axis. The fuel exit passage has an exit orifice aligned with the central axis. The exit orifice is circumscribed by an inner annular surface. The inner annular surface has a spherically-convex profile in cross-section, the profile being constant around the circumference of the inner annular surface.
Fuel Injection Valve
An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel injection valve that can be used in a gasoline engine and can take fuel into an injection hole with a small pressure loss near a seat portion on which a valve is seated. Thus, the present invention provides a fuel injection valve for a gasoline engine which includes: a plurality of injection holes; and a seat portion that opens and closes a fuel passage to the plurality of injection holes in cooperation with a valve. At least one fuel injection hole among the plurality of injection holes is configured in a shape such that an injection hole inlet has a long axis and a short axis, and the long axis is directed in a direction in which an extension line intersects with the seat portion.
MULTI-DIMPLE ORIFICE DISC FOR A FLUID INJECTOR, AND METHODS FOR CONSTRUCTING AND UTILIZING SAME
A fluid injector for injecting fluid is disclosed, including a body; a fluid passageway defined in the body and extending from an inlet to an outlet of the fluid injector; a valve seat disposed internally of the body and forming part of the passageway; a valve element that is selectively reciprocated relative to the valve seat to close and open the passageway to fluid flow by seating and unseating the valve element on and from the valve seat, respectively; and an orifice disc disposed in the passageway downstream of the valve seat in a direction of the fluid flow through the fluid injector, the orifice disc including a plurality of dimples and a plurality of orifices defined through the orifice disc, each dimple including at least one orifice located thereon and each dimple having an asymmetrical cross-section.
MULTI-DIMPLE ORIFICE DISC FOR A FLUID INJECTOR, AND METHODS FOR CONSTRUCTING AND UTILIZING SAME
A fluid injector for injecting fluid is disclosed, including a body, a fluid passageway defined through the body and extending from an inlet to an outlet of the fluid injector; a valve seat disposed internally of the body and forming part of the passageway; and a valve element that is selectively reciprocated relative to the valve seat to close and open the passageway to the flow of fluid by seating and unseating the valve element on and from the valve seat, respectively. The fluid injector further includes an orifice disc disposed in the passageway downstream of the valve seat in a direction of the flow of fluid through the fluid injector. The orifice disc includes a plurality of dimples and a plurality of orifices defined through the orifice disc, with each dimple including at least one orifice defined therethrough.
Fuel injector and nozzle assembly having dual concentric check assembly and ducted spray orifices
A fuel injector includes a nozzle assembly having a nozzle case, and a concentric check assembly within the nozzle case. Transfer passages are formed in an outer check of the check assembly, and spray orifices are formed in the nozzle case. A fuel volume is formed between the outer check and an inner check, and the inner check is movable to fluidly connect the transfer passages to the fuel volume. The outer check is rotatable between a first angular orientation and a second angular orientation to fluidly connect separate sets of the transfer passages to separate sets of the spray orifices. Spray ducts are in spray path alignment with at least one of the sets of spray orifices.
DIESEL ENGINE
The diesel engine comprises: a cylinder head covering one end of a cylinder; a piston having a crown surface opposed to the cylinder head and performing a reciprocating movement within the cylinder; and a fuel injector attached to the cylinder head. The crown surface of the piston is formed with a cavity which is concaved toward a side opposite to the cylinder head and has a round shape in top plan view, and a groove concaved from a periphery of the cavity toward a radially outward side of the piston. The groove extends from the lower end on the side opposite to the cylinder head, toward the upper end on the side of the cylinder head, while inclining in a circumferential direction of the piston. The fuel injector is formed with a nozzle hole directed toward the groove.
FUEL INJECTION DEVICE
The present invention is directed to achieving an appropriate L/D of each injection hole in a fuel injection device in which a plurality of injection holes is formed. To achieve the object, provided is a fuel injection device including a valve body and an injection hole forming portion in which a plurality of injection holes is formed on a more downstream side than a seat portion on which the valve body is seated, in which the injection hole forming portion is formed in a manner such that a valve body central axis and a central axis of the injection hole forming portion are horizontally deviated in a vertical cross-sectional surface passing through the valve body central axis.
