The gas seal column pump may comprise a pump drive, a gas seal column, a seal gas control box, and a pump. A drive motor of the pump drive, the gas seal column, and the pump may comprise a hermetically sealed, vertically-oriented, pumping system where the gas seal column is operable to replace mechanical seals around a drive shaft that couples the drive motor to the pump. A pressurized seal gas pumped into the drive motor and the gas seal column may displace corrosive fumes and the product being pumped. A product level may be sensed using a plurality of level sensors. Responsive to inputs from the level sensors, a seal gas control box may regulate the pressure of the seal gas using a plurality of valves. A bearing shaft adapter may be added to provide a special drive shaft of other lengths, diameters, or materials.

High temperature face seal

A turbomachine face seal includes a turbine wheel with a cylindrical shaft extending from the turbine wheel, defining an axis of rotation. The shaft may include a heat throttle, such as a piston ring and groove assembly, or a shaft weld pocket having an annular heat choke groove. Circumscribing the shaft is a casing and a seal ring having a groove with a seal element. To cool the seal element, a pressurized oil jet is directed toward the casing, and impinges against the casing. The oil jet may be angled or parallel with the axis of rotation. The casing may be configured to trap oil from the oil jet to cool the seal element.

Balancing system and method for turbomachine

The balancing system has a balancing body to be mounted on a rotor of a turbomachine and a sealing ring to be mounted on a stator of the turbomachine; the sealing ring is arranged around the balancing body so that the balancing body can rotate about a rotation axis, thus there is a clearance between the body and the ring; furthermore, there is an arrangement for changing an axial position of the sealing ring during operation of the turbomachine so that the clearance can be adjusted. The possibility of adjusting clearance during operation of the turbomachine, such balancing system provides a good balancing action with a small leakage and a small risk of mechanical interference at any time during operation of the turbomachine.

Mechanical seal

Two conflicting functions of sealing and lubrication of sliding faces are achieved for a long time. The sliding face of a rotating-side seal ring 3 is provided with dynamic pressure generation grooves 11 configured to communicate with the circumferential edge on the inner peripheral side of the sliding face and not to communicate with the circumferential edge on the outer peripheral side. A spring 7 is provided on the back side of a stationary-side seal ring 6 for pressing the stationary-side seal ring 6 against the sliding face of the rotating-side seal ring 3. A spring holder 8 is provided between the back side of the stationary-side seal ring 6 and the spring 7.

COMPRESSOR WHEEL DEVICE AND SUPERCHARGER

A compressor wheel device comprises a compressor wheel attached to a rotary shaft and a thrust collar attached to the rotary shaft at a back surface of the compressor wheel. The compressor wheel includes: a wheel body part with a hub and at least one blade provided on an outer peripheral surface of the hub; and a sleeve part having a cylindrical shape projecting along an axis direction from a back surface of the hub and having an outer peripheral surface on which a sealing groove extending along a peripheral direction is formed. The thrust collar has a circular plate-like shape including: one surface including an abutting surface abutting on an end surface of the sleeve part and extending along a radial direction; and the other surface including a slidably-contacting surface slidably contacting a thrust bearing supporting the rotary shaft in a thrust direction and extending along the radial direction.

Centrifugal multistage compressor

The present invention provides a centrifugal multistage compressor adapted to inhibit corrosion of an intermediate stage labyrinth. More particularly, the present invention provides a centrifugal multistage compressor adapted to inhibit carbon dioxide corrosion of the intermediate stage labyrinth. The centrifugal multistage compressor of the present invention includes: a rotary shaft equipped with a plurality of impellers; an ejection flow path extended between a first stage of the impellers and a last stage of the impellers and serving to discharge a fluid once from the compressor; a suction flow path extended between the first stage of the impellers and the last stage of the impellers and serving to inject the discharged fluid once again into the compressor; an intermediate diaphragm disposed between the ejection flow path and the suction flow path; and an intermediate stage labyrinth for sealing between the ejection flow path and the suction flow path, and has a configuration where the intermediate diaphragm includes a bypass flow path for supplying the intermediate stage labyrinth with some of the fluid flowing to the ejection flow path.

ROTARY SHAFT OF A CEILING FAN AND CEILING FAN HAVING THE SAME

A ceiling fan includes at least one rotary shaft that has a seat being semi-circular and a guiding portion being semi-spherical and having a guiding surface. A lower sealing ring of the ceiling fan has at least one protrusion. The guiding portion is mounted through the lower sealing ring and the guiding surface abuts against the at least one protrusion. With the seat of the rotary shaft being semi-circular and the guiding portion being semi-spherical, when the rotary shaft is rotated, the guiding surface and the at least one protrusion coordinate with each other to rotate. The rotary shaft has reduced volume. Accordingly, the ceiling fan having the rotary shaft is lightweight, has reduced power consumption and manufacturing cost, and is easy for installation.

HIGH PRESSURE GAS SEALING
20210355954 · 2021-11-18 ·

A gas processing system includes a vessel defining a cavity for processing a gas. The vessel includes a process gas inlet for accepting process gas at an input pressure, and a process gas outlet for discharging process gas at an output pressure. The gas processing system further includes a shaft coupled to the vessel and a multistage sealing system comprising multiple seals spaced along the shaft. The shaft is configured to transfer mechanical energy to or from gas in the vessel. Each adjacent pair of seals defines a corresponding pressure space therebetween. One of the pressure spaces is an equalizing pressure space in hydraulic communication with the process gas inlet via a flow line, such that in operation, pressure in the equalizing pressure space is maintained at an equalized pressure with respect to a pressure in the process gas inlet.
