PUMP FOR IMMERSION WITHIN A FLUID RESERVOIR
A pump is provided for immersion in a fluid reservoir, such as a pit or lagoon containing liquid manure, from a position at an edge of the reservoir. The pump may be adapted for connection to a farm vehicle, such as a tractor, positioned at the edge of the reservoir. The pump comprises an extensible body, fluid conduit and drive means in order that a length of the pump may be varied in order to accommodate a variety of reservoir fluid heights. In addition, the pump may be pivotable relative to at least a portion of a frame in order that the entrance angle may be adjusted. The pump may comprise a housing with an inlet and an outlet, the outlet in fluid communication with the fluid conduit. An impeller within the housing may direct fluid from the inlet to the outlet in the housing.
TRANSFER PUMP LAUNDER SYSTEM
Disclosed is a transfer pump having a pump base with a pump chamber, tangential discharge and an outlet in the top surface of the pump base. A riser tube extends from the outlet and terminates at a launder in order to move molten metal out of a vessel with relatively little turbulence.
Radially compressible and expandable rotor for a fluid pump
In a rotor for a fluid pump which is made radially compressible and expandable and has a hub and at least one conveying element which has a plurality of struts and at least one membrane which can be spanned between them, provision is made for a design in accordance with the invention which is as simple and inexpensive as possible that at least one first group of struts is pivotable in a pivot plane, starting from a common base, and can thus be spanned open in the manner of a fan, wherein the conveying element lies along the hub and contacts it over its full length in the expanded state to avoid a pressure loss at the margin of the conveying element between it and the hub and thus to realize an optimum efficiency.

Conveying blades for a compressible rotor
To provide a simple embodiment of a rotor (2) for a fluid pump which is nevertheless very flexible in handling and compressible, in accordance with the invention a conveying blade is provided having at least two struts (12, 13, 14) and a membrane spanned between them in the expanded state, wherein the struts each have at least one joint, in particular more than one joint, which enables an angling in a first direction in a first movement plane and bounds an overelongation beyond an elongation angle of in particular 180 in the opposite second direction. In particular when a plurality of joints (15, 16, 17) are provided at the struts, they, and with them the conveying blades, are particularly flexible for simple compressibility.
Transfer pump launder system
A pump having a motor, a pump base with a pump chamber, a tangential discharge and an outlet in the pump base. A riser tube extends upward from the outlet and terminates at or above a launder in order to move molten metal out of a vessel with relatively little turbulence.
CHAIN TENSIONING ARRANGEMENT AS WELL AS PUMP STATION
A chain tensioning arrangement for a column pipe which is configured to house a submersible pump. The chain tensioning arrangement includes a radially extending cross beam, a spring arrangement connected to the cross beam, at least one spring member, and an arm that is movably connected to the cross beam. The arm includes an engagement member configured to optionally engage a chain connected to the pump. The arm is displaceable in the axial direction between a lower position and an upper position. The spring member is arranged to displace the arm in the direction from the lower position towards the upper position. Also described is a pump station including a column pipe, a submersible pump arranged in the column pipe and an axially extending chain connected to the pump and configured to move the pump in the column pipe.

INTEGRALLY-TRANSPORTABLE PURGE CONTAINER AND METHOD OF USING THE INTEGRALLY-TRANSPORTABLE PURGE CONTAINER
An integrally-transportable purge container capable of preventing entry of air when a submersible pump is carried into a pump column, and capable of warming the submersible pump when it is removed from the pump column to prevent components of the air from being liquefied is provided. The integrally-transportable purge container includes: a container body having an interior space for accommodating a submersible pump therein; an upper lid configured to cover an upper opening of the container body; a lower lid configured to cover a lower opening of the container body; and a purge-gas inlet port and a purge-gas outlet port communicating with the interior space of the container body. The integrally-transportable purge container is detachably coupled to an upper portion of a pump column in which the submersible pump is to be installed. The integrally-transportable purge container is configured to be transportable together with the submersible pump.
ELEVATING APPARATUS, PUMP CARRYING-IN METHOD, PUMP PULLING-UP METHOD
An elevating apparatus that can eliminate a need for a permanently installed large hoist is provided. The elevating apparatus is used to elevate and lower a submersible pump in a pump column. The submersible pump is used for delivering liquefied gas. The elevating apparatus includes a cable including multiple split cables and multiple coupling links configured to detachably couple the multiple split cables to each other; and a take-up device coupled to the cable.
