CHARGING ROLL
A charging roll includes a core member, a rubber base material disposed around the core member, and a surface layer disposed around the rubber base material. The ten point height of irregularities R.sub.Z of a surface of the surface layer is equal to or greater than 3.9 micrometers, and is equal to or less than 6.1 micrometers. The mean spacing between peaks S.sub.m of the surface of the surface layer is equal to or greater than 12.5 micrometers and is equal to or less than 13.5 micrometers.

Sliding component and method
The disclosure concerns a sliding component and a method of manufacturing a sliding component. The sliding component includes a substrate and an electrical component. The substrate has a front surface and a rear surface and comprising an electrically-insulating substrate portion extending through a metallic substrate portion, and an electrical connector extending through the electrically-insulating portion between the front surface and the rear surface. The electrical component is arranged at the front surface of the substrate and electrically connected to the electrical connector.
SLIDING BEARING MADE OF TITANIUM ALLOY
A titanium alloy spherical sliding bearing includes an inner ring made of an α+β or α type titanium alloy, and having a convex spherical sliding surface region on the outer periphery of the inner ring. The bearing further includes an outer ring in sliding contact with the sliding surface region via a lubricative liner. The sliding surface region contains primary and secondary α crystal grains, and includes an oxygen diffusion layer of which the oxygen concentration is not less than 0.8% by mass, and the hardness of the surface is not less than 550 Hv, and the oxygen concentration continuously decreases with depth from the surface of the sliding surface region.

A corrosion-protecting layer system, e.g., for a bearing component used in a wind turbine, includes a base layer that contains polyurethane, zinc, and vinylphosphonic acid or silane. An intermediate layer is formed on the base layer and contains polyurethane and zinc. A top layer is formed on the intermediate layer and contains polyurethane and micaceous iron oxide. A sealing layer is formed on the top layer and contains polyurethane.

The sliding member of the present invention is a sliding member including a base layer and a resin coating layer formed on the base layer, wherein the resin coating layer is formed of a polyamide-imide resin as a binder, barium sulfate particles, molybdenum disulfide particles, and unavoidable impurities, wherein the resin coating layer is composed of a plurality of overcoated application layers, and wherein the plurality of application layers are different from each other in content of hard particles.

A bearing liner includes a binder with a resin material, a pre-preg, a structural yarn and a lubricating yarn, and particles of aluminum oxide (Al.sub.2O.sub.3). The particles of aluminum oxide may be embedded within the binder or within the lubricating yarn, or may be embedded within both the binder and the lubricating yarn. A plain bearing includes an inner ring, an outer ring and such a liner interposed or disposed between the rings.
