Guiding Member, Mechanical System Comprising Such A Guiding Member, And Method For Producing Such A Guiding Member
A guiding member, having a body provided with a bore for mounting a mobile element is presented. The body consists of a metallic material. The bore has a surface layer treated against jamming over a diffusion depth of less than or equal to 0.6 mm. The surface layer has a hardness of greater than or equal to 500 Hv1 over a depth of between 5 and 50 μm.
Thin-wall bonded self-lubricating plate
Disclosed is a thin-wall bonded self-lubricating plate, the composite material structure thereof being composed of a surface self-lubricating layer, an intermediate bonding layer, and a metal backing layer. The surface self-lubricating layer includes polytetrafluoroethylene, ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene, etc. The surface self-lubricating layer thereof is thicker than an ordinary sintered self-lubricating material, thereby reducing vibration and prolonging the service life. Components, such as bushings, gaskets, sliding plates, composite bearings and other special-shaped members, made of the thin-wall bonded self-lubricating plate, have broad application prospects in low-speed rotation and relative sliding parts of vehicles, general machinery, office furniture, etc.
Curable composite bush
A curable composite bush for an aircraft joint comprising a generally hollow cylindrical body formed from a matrix material impregnated with a reinforcement material substantially composed of fibers, the fibers being oriented in a generally circumferential direction about a longitudinal axis of the bush. The body may define a plurality of corrugations extending between an inner and an outer diameter of the bush to improve the compressibility of the bush in a direction substantially collinear to a longitudinal axis of the bush.
SLIDING MEMBER
A sliding member is provided that includes a base having a surface shaped to support a mating member. A metal sintered layer is not exposed on the surface. A resin coating layer is formed on the surface with a thickness greater than 20 μm.
Bush bearing having outer lubricating layer, manufacturing method therefor and scroll compressor having same applied thereto
A bush bearing having an outer lubricating layer, a manufacturing method therefor and a scroll compressor having same applied thereto, according to the present disclosure, includes a bush bearing comprising: a base member which has a cylindrical shape having no separated surfaces along the circumferential direction; and a lubricating member which is formed from a material having a lower rigidity and more excellent lubricity than the base member, and has a cylindrical shape having no separated surfaces along the circumferential direction by being integrally provided to the outer circumferential surface of the base member, wherein the cylindricity of the outer circumferential surface of the lubricating member satisfies a value that is within 0.6% of the average thickness of the lubricating member, and the lubricating member has carbon fiber contained in a resin base, wherein the carbon fiber has cut surfaces exposed on both ends of the lubricating member.
BEARING MATERIAL AND SOLID LUBRICANT
A bearing material may include a matrix of polyamide-imide polymer material, and a solid lubricant particulate. The solid lubricant particulate may have a median particle size of less than 1 micrometre.
Split bearing, assembly, and method of making and using the same
A bearing including a bearing sidewall including a first circumferential end including an apex region, and a second circumferential end including a nadir region, where the first circumferential end and the second circumferential end are adapted to contact each other to form an interface, where at least one of the apex region or the nadir region includes a void to prevent contact between the apex region of the first circumferential end and the nadir region of the second circumferential end, where the bearing sidewall includes a substrate and a low friction material, and where at least one of the first circumferential end or the second circumferential end comprises an end face that is free of low friction material.
FUNCTIONALLY GRADED COMPOSITE STRUCTURES
A composite ring includes a first region including a first polymeric material; a second region including a second polymeric material; and an interfacial region defining a compositional gradient between the first region and the second region; wherein a wear resistance of the first region is different from a wear resistance of the second region. A composite bearing includes a first layer including a first polymeric material and a first filler; a second layer disposed on the first layer, the second layer including a second polymeric material and a second filler; and an interfacial region defining a compositional gradient between the first layer and the second layer, wherein a wear resistance of the first layer is greater than a wear resistance of the second layer, and wherein a mechanical strength of the second layer is greater than a mechanical strength of the first layer.
BEARINGS WITH VISUALLY DISTINCT WEAR INDICATORS
Bearings with visually distinct wear indicators are disclosed. An example bearing disclosed herein includes a movable portion, a race to receive the movable portion along a first surface to thereby permit movement of the movable portion within the race, and a liner disposed on the first surface of the race, the liner having a first layer and a second layer, the first layer disposed on top of the second layer, the first layer visually distinctive from the second layer.
