Chain slider
A chain slider is designed as a cable management device, and includes an interchangeable insert system to adapt different size chain, cable wire rope, synthetic rope or line used in hoisting devices. The chain slider may be manufactured of plastic and injection molded to shape.
Slide bearing assemblies
Slide-bearing assemblies capable of enabling sliding of a load-carrying implement relative to a load-supporting structure, having first and second load-carrying surfaces, respectively, are disclosed. In one embodiment, the slide-bearing assembly includes substantially nonmetallic first and second elongate bearing elements extending in parallel to support the first load-carrying surface of the load-carrying implement slidably upon the load-supporting structure. One of the bearing elements being composed of multiple elongate pieces each shorter in length than a length of the other of the bearing elements. The slide-bearing assembly additionally includes a post that extends from a surface of each of the multiple elongate pieces, which is a surface that is opposed to the second load-carrying surface, each post is sized to fit in a respective recess of the second load-carrying surface. The slide-bearing assembly further includes at least one coating on the first load-carrying surface made of high-performance thermoplastic material(s).
Composite bearing and method of making and using the same
An assembly including an inner member; an outer member; and a bearing including a bearing sidewall including a flat portion, a first convex axial end, and a second convex axial end, where at least one of the inner member or the outer member is adapted to axially translate relative to the bearing, and where at least one of the first convex axial end or the second convex axial end is adapted to induce formation of a film on the bearing sidewall during the axial translation of at least one of the inner member or the outer member.
Multilayered sintered plate and manufacturing method thereof
A manufacturing apparatus 1 has a leveler 3 which, while pulling out a steel plate starting with one end thereof and while transporting it, corrects the waviness and the like of the steel plate, which serves as a backing plate 2 and is constituted by a continuous strip having a thickness of 0.3 to 2.0 mm and provided as a hoop material by being wound into a coil shape.
Method for producing a bearing body of a sliding bearing arrangement and bearing body
A method for producing a housing-side or rotor-side bearing body of a sliding bearing arrangement for mounting a rotating shaft of a rotor in a fixed housing. Providing a basic body of the bearing body. Processing the basic body on a surface by forming multiple intersecting grooves, between the intersecting grooves multiple bar-like protrusions are formed. Reforming the protrusions subject-to form a defined pattern of undercut-like recesses or geometries. Applying a sliding bearing material to the surface having the reformed protrusions subject to infiltrating or filling the undercut-like recesses or geometries.
ANTI-FRICTION VARNISH
An anti-friction varnish includes at least one organic binding agent, at least one solid lubricant and at least one bonding agent for improving the adhesion of a polymeric sliding layer, which may be produced from the anti-friction varnish, on a substrate, wherein the at least one bonding agent includes a ligand, which connects the bonding agent to the organic binding agent or to the substrate.
SLIDING MEMBER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A sliding member includes a resin layer that slides with a mating member. The resin layer contains polytetrafluoroethylene and an additive. The resin layer includes a plurality of rich regions formed in a thickness direction of the resin layer, the rich regions having a higher concentration of the polytetrafluoroethylene than other regions.
FRICTION REDUCING POLYELECTROLYTE COATING
A low friction coated article includes a first structure that has a first lubricated surface coated with a first polyelectrolyte coating. A second structure has a second lubricated surface with a second polyelectrolyte coating opposite the first lubricated surface. The first and second polyelectrolyte coatings include alternating layers of positively charged polyelectrolyte layers and negatively charged polyelectrolyte layers hydrated with a lubricant.
BEARINGS AND COMPONENTS THEREOF COMPRISING A HOT-MELT PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE AND METHODS OF THEIR PREPARATION
Methods of making bearings using pressure sensitive macromolecular adhesive polymers and pressure sensitive polymer compositions capable of integrating fluoropolymeric properties with a catechol-amine functionality to form an adhesive system that allows bonding between metallic substrates and fluoropolymers are disclosed. Also disclosed are core-shell polymeric particles comprised of a core and a shell comprising a thermoplastic polydopamine polymer that may be prepared as a colloidal suspension and used as a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive capable of binding low surface energy materials, such as polyolefins and fluoropolymers, to diverse materials including metals in making bearings and/or bearing components.
SELF-LUBRICATING COMPOSITE FRICTION PART
Disclosed is a self-lubricating composite friction part (1) that can be subjected, during operation, to temperatures that are at least equal to 250° C. The part includes, along the friction surface (2), a single layer of a material consisting of weft and warp yarns made of polytetrafluoroethylene, the material being impregnated with a thermostable resin having a glass transition temperature that is at least equal to 250° C. It is applied to a reinforcing layer (3).
