A brake disk includes a first abrasive disk, a second abrasive disk and a heat dissipation disk co-axially sandwiched between the first abrasive disk and the second abrasive disk. A middle disk is co-axially mounted onto the first abrasive disk and the second abrasive disk, wherein the middle disk is adapted to be mounted to a hub. A specific heat capacity coefficient of the heat dissipation disk is greater than that of the first abrasive disk and the second abrasive disk for absorbing thermal energy from the first abrasive disk and the second abrasive disk and lowering the temperature of the first abrasive disk and the second abrasive disk during braking.

An internally ventilated brake disc with a disc coning reducing arrangement is provided in which temperature differences between inboard and outboard sides of the brake disc are minimized in order to reduce coning-causing differential thermal expansion. Between a radially inner region of a brake disc that includes brake disc-to-axle hub mounting features and a radially outer region the mass of the inboard side of the brake disc is distributed in a manner that reduces the amount of differential thermal expansion occurring during brake application between the inboard and outboard sides of the brake disc, thereby minimizing thermally-induced coning effects. The inboard side disc plate portion may having an increasing axial thickness in the direction from the radially outer region to the radially inner region, providing additional material mass to receive and dissipate heat energy received during a braking event.

BICYCLE DISC BRAKE ROTOR

A bicycle disc brake rotor including a center rotational axis is provided with an outer member including a braking portion extending in a rotation direction of the bicycle disc brake rotor and an inner member located at an inner side of the outer member in a radial direction of the bicycle disc brake rotor and coupled to the outer member. At least one of the outer member and the inner member includes a displacement reducing structure configured to reduce displacement of the braking portion in an axial direction of the bicycle disc brake rotor.

BRAKE DEVICE

A brake device that can be cooled effectively while reducing a friction loss of a rotary member is provided. In the brake device, a second friction face formed on a brake stator is brought into contact to a first friction face formed on a brake rotor to stop rotation of a rotary shaft, and coolant is held in a casing. The brake device comprises a first cooling groove formed on the brake rotor to allow the coolant to flow over the first friction face, and a second cooling groove formed on the brake stator to allow the coolant to flow over the second friction face.

Brake dust cover

A brake dust cover is installed in a brake system including a rotor disposed on an inner diameter side of a rim of a wheel and a caliper interposing and holding the rotor with brake pads and includes a main body, an extension, and an opening. The main body is disposed adjacent to the rotor on an inside of the rotor in a vehicle width direction, that is disposed so as to overlap at least a part of the rotor when viewed from an axle direction, and that is disposed such that an outer circumferential edge portion thereof is separated from an inner circumferential surface of the rim. The extension extends from a part of the outer circumferential edge portion of the main body to an outer diameter side. The opening is formed in the main body, and air in a wheelhouse is introduced toward the rotor through the opening.

Brake disc and method for producing a brake disc

A brake disc includes a friction ring having a first material and a brake rotor hat having a second material that is different from the first material. The friction ring includes a flange formed in the axial direction, and the flange is connected to an edge of the brake rotor hat oriented towards the friction ring, by means of at least one connection element designed as a rivet. The rivet head is in flat contact with the surface of the brake rotor hat facing away from the flange.

Carbon ceramic brake disc and method for manufacturing the same

A carbon ceramic brake disc according to the present invention includes: a support body having cooling channels at the center portion; and friction layers directly attached to the top and the bottom of the support body without a bonding layer and having components different from the components of the support body, in which the support body is composed of a plurality of layers having components similar to the friction layers, gradually toward the friction layers from the cooling channels as the center. Accordingly, the support body can perform thermomechanical shock absorbing that is an original function and the friction layers and the support body can be prevented from separating while the carbon ceramic brake disc is manufactured.
