Method for reversing a direction of travel of a working machine comprising a power split transmission
A reversing method for reversing a travel direction of a working machine with a power-split transmission in which control signals are emitted by a control unit such that a reversing clutch, for the current travel direction, is disengaged and a reversing clutch for the new travel direction is engaged. The reversing clutches are controlled by control variables. If there is a difference between a reference control magnitude and a target control variable, the control variable is adapted. An adapted control signal is emitted, with which the reversing clutches are actuated, and for determining the target control variables for the disengaging and engaging of the reversing clutches, in addition to a translational factor and a rotational factor a load-dependent factor is determined and processed.
Vehicle transmission clutch engagement control system
A vehicle includes a transmission and a controller. The transmission has clutches that are configured to establish multiple speed ratios, including a first clutch. The first clutch has a measured drag torque distribution. The measured drag torque distribution has a median and a standard deviation. The controller is programmed to increase a pressure at a rate to engage the first clutch and to increase the rate in response to a measured first clutch torque exceeding the median by a predetermined multiple of the standard deviation.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
A vehicle control device includes: a unit that acquires a first transmission torque transmitted in a first state in which a control pressure is controlled to a first pressure value, and a second transmission torque transmitted in a second state in which the control pressure is controlled to a second pressure value; a control unit including a storage unit that stores control data including data indicating a relationship between a friction coefficient and a surface pressure. The control unit calculates a first friction coefficient based on the data and the first pressure value, calculates a second friction coefficient based on the data and the second pressure value, calculates an estimated value of the touch point pressure based on the first and second pressure values, the first and second transmission torques, the first and second friction coefficients to control data based on the estimated value.
Vehicle, controller for vehicle, and control method for vehicle
A clutch is controlled to increase torque capacity of the clutch when fluctuations in torsional torque generated in a power transmission route between the clutch and a drive wheel are larger than a specified value during deceleration traveling. Accordingly, engine brake whose magnitude corresponds to an increased amount of the torque capacity of the clutch is actuated. Therefore, the fluctuations in the torsional torque can be suppressed by the engine brake.

Drivetrain system implementing predictive control
A drivetrain system is disclosed for use with a machine having a work tool. The drivetrain system may have a transmission with a plurality of clutches. The drivetrain system may also have an input device movable by an operator to generate a first signal indicative of a desired selection of a park setting or one of a plurality of travel settings, a sensor configured to generate a second signal indicative of loading of the work tool, and a controller in communication with the input device, the sensor, and the transmission. The controller may be configured to anticipate completion of a loading cycle based the second signal, and to selectively cause at least a first of the plurality of clutches to engage in a combination that produces one of the plurality of travel settings based on the anticipated completion of the loading cycle, notwithstanding the desired selection from the input device being the park setting.
System and method for determining when a selectable one-way clutch has mechanically released
A system for determining when a selectable one-way clutch has mechanically released includes an update timer identifying if each of a converter model engine torque, a transmission input torque, and a torque converter slip are positive for a predetermined period of time. An SOWC slip value is calculated using an output signal from each of: at least one transmission internal speed sensor producing an output signal representative of a speed of an internal component of a transmission; and at least one transmission output speed sensor producing an output signal representative of a speed of an output of the transmission. An SOWC released signal is issued if either all of the measured converter model engine torque, the measured transmission input torque, and the measured torque converter slip are positive for at least the predetermined period of time, or the calculated SOWC slip value is greater than a predetermined threshold.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HYDRAULIC PRESSURE REFILLING OPERATION FOR ENGINE CLUTCH OF HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A method for controlling a hydraulic pressure refilling operation for an engine clutch of a vehicle includes determining whether the vehicle travels using power of a driving motor with an engine clutch maintained in a disengaged state, and upon determining that the vehicle travels using power of the driving motor with the engine clutch maintained in the disengaged state, determining whether loss of hydraulic pressure has occurred, and upon determining that loss of hydraulic pressure has occurred, controlling a hydraulic pressure refilling operation such that working fluid in a reservoir is supplied to the actuator with the engine clutch in an engaged state, and controlling the driving motor so that the driving motor outputs a compensated torque by compensating for an effect of a load torque, generated by a non-operating engine, on a torque of the driving motor.
