METHODS FOR INHIBITING MATERIAL MIXING IN A MATERIAL PROCESSING SYSTEM
A method is described for minimizing material mixing of a first fluid material and a second fluid material in a material processing system that includes a pipeline. The method includes introducing into an upstream portion of the pipeline a sufficient amount of a material mixing inhibitor using, in some instances a cartridge for delivery of the material mixing inhibitor composition to the material processing system.
METHODS OF BINDING INGREDIENTS OF MEAT ANALOG PRODUCTS
Methods of binding ingredients of a meat alternative product are disclosed. One method comprises mixing a first hydrocolloid and a second hydrocolloid with a protein, thus producing the meat alternative product and forming the meat alternative product to a desired shape. Another method includes mixing a first hydrocolloid, a second hydrocolloid, and a protein, thus producing the meat alternative product and hydrating the meat alternative product. Products produced by the methods are also disclosed.
Dry mixture in particulate form for preparation of liquid foods with dispersed gas bubbles
The present invention provides a dry mixture in particulate form containing a gas release agent, a flavor component and a hydrocolloid. Upon dissolution in water, gas bubbles are released into the continuous liquid phase, and these bubbles remain dispersed in the continuous liquid phase. These dry mixes can be used for preparation of ice cream and/or desserts and/or milk shakes.
Nutraceutical gels
A nutraceutical food product includes a solid matrix and a liquid combined into a gel. The nutraceutical food product may include an immune modulator, such as transfer factor and/or a nanofraction immune modulator. A fruit component may be included in the nutraceutical food product. The fruit component may include at least one oligoproanthocyanidin-containing fruit, such as aai.
FISH ODOR-FREE FISH OIL COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
A fish odor-free fish oil composition includes a colloidal raw material and an oily raw material containing fish oil. A preparation method for the fish odor-free fish oil composition includes the following steps: (a) mixing and stirring the colloidal raw material with water and warming to 80 to 85 C., continuing for 5 to 30 minutes, then cooling to 48 to 53 C.; and (b) stirring the oily raw material containing fish oil and emulsifying in an emulsification tank jointly with the colloidal mixture formed in step (a).
STORAGE AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
Provided is a storage and delivery system that includes a container containing a stable liquid composition therein for increasing the viscosity of an aqueous liquid or aqueous liquid solid mixture foodstuff and having a viscosity of less than 2000 cP and a water activity of greater than 95%, wherein the composition comprises one or more thickening agents and one or more polysaccharides, and a pump dispenser sealingly attached to the container and having a valve for inhibiting or preventing drying of the composition in the container. Further provided is a method of delivering a stable liquid composition to an aqueous liquid or aqueous liquid solid mixture foodstuff by use of the storage and delivery system. A method for increasing the viscosity of an aqueous liquid or aqueous liquid solid mixture foodstuff by adding the stable liquid composition thereto is also provided.
Thickener composition, thickened nutritive products, methods for preparing thickened nutritive products, and methods for providing nutrition
Disclosed are thickener compositions composed of xanthan gum and a chelating agent, such as ascorbic acid. The chelating agent is present in an amount with respect to said xanthan such that, when said thickener composition is used to thicken a food product, at least one mineral selected from the group consisting of iron, zinc, and calcium present in said food product is relatively more bioavailable than the mineral would be in the absence of said chelating agent. The thickener composition finds particular applicability for use with baby formulas and breast milk intended for dysphagic infants. Also disclosed are baby formulas and thickened breast milk formulations, methods for preparing same, and methods for providing nutrition.
Food thickening agent, method for producing food thickening agent
The disclosed invention provides a food and water thickener and a method for preparing the food and water thickener. The food thickener may comprise pretreated mineral water, xanthan, food preservative, and a chelating agent. The invention can be suitable for providing nutrition to patients with dysphagia.
PROTEIN-RICH FOOD PRODUCT AND METHOD OF MAKING A PROTEIN-RICH FOOD PRODUCT
A protein-rich food product comprising water and solids, wherein at least 70% of the solids consist of protein, and a method for making the protein-rich food product. The protein-rich food product is capable of replacing flour food products as a low-calorie, gluten-free, high-protein alternative.
PLANT-BASED EGG SUBSTITUTE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
Disclosed herein are non-egg compositions that can be used as egg substitutes. The disclosure is directed to egg substitutes and methods of manufacturing the same, and compositions comprising the egg substitutes, including edible compositions such as baked goods and edible emulsions.
