Provided is a storage and delivery system that includes a container containing a stable liquid composition therein for increasing the viscosity of an aqueous liquid or aqueous liquid solid mixture foodstuff and having a viscosity of less than 2000 cP and a water activity of greater than 95%, wherein the composition comprises one or more thickening agents and one or more polysaccharides, and a pump dispenser sealingly attached to the container and having a valve for inhibiting or preventing drying of the composition in the container. Further provided is a method of delivering a stable liquid composition to an aqueous liquid or aqueous liquid solid mixture foodstuff by use of the storage and delivery system. A method for increasing the viscosity of an aqueous liquid or aqueous liquid solid mixture foodstuff by adding the stable liquid composition thereto is also provided.
GRANULAR SOLID COMPOSITION
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a granular solid composition that can be used as a replacement for a Soboro-like food, has non-uniform granule sizes, and has particle surface asperities. The granular solid composition is produced by solidifying a liquid or sol composition comprising curdlan by heating on a surface with stirring. The liquid or sol composition comprising curdlan may comprise a microbe-derived and/or plant-derived protein.

The present disclosure is related to a stable nutritional product, a thickener formulated for dilution into the nutritional composition, a use of the nutritional product, a method for making the nutritional product, a method for enhancing physical stability, especially with regards to rheological and in particular cohesive properties of the nutritional product, and a related system. The physical stability, especially with regards to rheological and in particular cohesive properties of a nutritional product consumed in liquid form and containing a beta-glucan can be enhanced by reducing and/or preventing growth of microorganisms in the nutritional product, and/or deactivating enzymes in the nutritional product, and/or preventing hydrolysis of the beta-glucan in the nutritional product.
