The method for producing a spindle nut may include producing a blank which has a sleeve portion and a cylindrical outer surface by non-cutting shaping from sheet metal; and forming a thread provided for cooperation with a threaded spindle in the blank by non-cutting shaping, while maintaining the cylindrical outer surface of the sleeve portion.

Threaded nut of a ball screw drive

A threaded nut of a ball-screw for a brake booster is constructed as a hydraulic piston and is produced from the group of martensitically hardening steels which are non-corroding with respect to brake fluid and which has in percent by weight: between 0.4% and 1.3% carbon (C), up to 2% silicon (Si), up to 2% manganese (Mn), between 12% and 20% chromium (Cr), and phosphorus (P) and sulphur (S) together at less than 0.015%, the balance being iron and, where applicable, melting-related impurities. Addition of the following materials to the above-described steel may be advantageous: up to 2% molybdenum (Mo), up to 0.2% vanadium (V), and up to 3% nickel (Ni).

BALL SCREW DEVICE

A nut includes a circulation passage such that balls are circulated through the circulation passage from a first axial end part of rolling raceway to a second axial end part of the rolling raceway. The nut includes a nut body, and end members connected to the opposite axial ends of the nut body. The nut body includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes a second spiral groove on the inner periphery of the first member and a passage having a groove shape opened radially outwardly, the passage being formed on the outer periphery of the first member such that the passage constitutes part of the circulation passage. The second member is placed radially outwardly from the first member and closes the passage from its radially outer side.

A method for producing a threaded nut of a threaded drive, includes the following steps: a sleeve is produced from a steel sheet which is suitable for case-hardening; a rolling profile for a rolling contact with rolling bodies is molded on the inner circumference of the sleeve, said rolling profile being wound in a helical manner about the longitudinal axis of the sleeve; a flange is welded to the end face of the sleeve; the flange is provided with a welding surface on the flange end face facing away from the sleeve for welding to a machine part; the welding surface initially has a diffusion-inhibiting layer which inhibits the penetration of carbon; and the welding surface is exposed by removing the diffusion-inhibiting layer after case-hardening the threaded nut. A threaded nut produced according to the method can be part of a ball screw drive, the flange of which can be welded to a provided machine part by the user.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A THREADED NUT OF A THREADED DRIVE, IN PARTICULAR A BALL SCREW NUT OF A BALL SCREW DRIVE

The disclosure relates to a method for producing a threaded nut of a threaded drive. In a forming process, a sleeve is produced from a steel sheet which is suitable for case-hardening. A flange is integrally formed on the sleeve for welding to a machine part. A welding surface of the flange has a diffusion-inhibiting layer which inhibits the penetration of carbon into the welding surface. The sleeve is case-hardened, and the welding surface is then exposed by removing the diffusion-inhibiting layer. The sleeve can be bonded to a machine part on the exposed welding surface of the sleeve.
