Gear seeking polystable shifter

A gear seeking shifter having a housing containing a shift lever with a depressible inner push rod. A CAM component is rotatably supported to a base of the shift lever and is driven by a gear seeking motor. An upwardly biased gate pawl is secured to the inner push rod into contact with any of a PRND shifter position gates configured along an opposing underside of said housing. At least one detent pawl is supported within the housing in biasing contact with a detent plate configured upon an opposing inside surface of the housing. The CAM component, upon being rotated by the motor, includes each of a first profile for retracting the gate pawl and a second profile for engaging and inwardly displacing the detent pawl away from contact with the detent plate to permit the CAM component to rotate the shift lever to a desired gear position.

A motor sticking diagnosis and repair method includes the steps of, when an operation of a shift lever is detected, determining whether a current position matches a target position, when the current position does not match the target position, rotating the motor toward the target position, determining once again whether the current position matches the target position after rotation of the motor, when the current position does not match the target position, diagnosing whether the motor sticking has occurred, when the motor is diagnosed as being stuck, allowing the motor to switch to a free-rotation mode by temporarily blocking the current being applied to the motor upon sticking diagnosis, and selecting either a first repair strategy or a second repair strategy depending on whether the position of the motor changes after switching to the free-rotation mode.

Transmission for vehicle

A transmission for a vehicle includes a transmission shift unit that receives a shift command of the vehicle, a driving unit that generates a driving force for causing the transmission shift unit to be switched between positions, and a controller configured to control the driving unit for causing the transmission shift unit to be switched between the positions depending on whether a preset condition is satisfied. In particular, the driving unit includes a first stator to generate magnetic flux, a first rotor including first inner permanent magnets and second inner permanent magnets and configured to be rotated by the magnetic flux transmitted to the first inner permanent magnets, outer permanent magnets, a second rotor disposed between the second inner permanent magnets and the outer permanent magnets, and a clutch unit disposed between the first rotor and the second rotor.

SHIFT MECHANISM OF OUTBOARD MOTOR, AND MOUNT STRUCTURE OF SHIFT MECHANISM

A shift mechanism of an outboard motor has an electric actuator having a movable rod, and a guide structure for guiding a linear motion of a sliding body connected to the movable rod. In addition, the shift mechanism includes a link rod connected to the sliding body and bent to extend in a direction different from the direction of the linear motion of the sliding body. Furthermore, the shift mechanism includes a shift shaft part which is connected to the link rod, performs a rotational motion on the basis of a displacement of the link rod, and switches a range of a transmission mechanism provided below on the basis of the rotational motion.

A shift device includes: a shift switching member including valley parts corresponding to a shift position; a positioning member provided to establish the shift position in a state of being fitted into any one of the valley parts; a motor including a rotor and a stator and driving the shift switching member; a speed reduction mechanism section rotating the shift switching member in a state in which a rotation speed transmitted from the motor is reduced; a rotor rotational angle sensor detecting a rotational angle of the rotor; and an output shaft rotational angle sensor detecting a rotational angle of the shift switching member. The shift device detects the number of rotations of the motor based on association between output values of the output shaft rotational angle sensor and the rotor rotational angle sensor.

A shift position switching controller determines whether the responsiveness for switching the shift position to an other-than-N position will be affected by a reduction of an N position check time and keeps the N position check time unchanged from a normal value if a current shift position is a D position or if a vehicle speed is equal to or greater than a preset value. Alternatively, the shift position switching controller determines whether the responsiveness of the controller will be affected by reducing the N position check time, and sets the N position check time to a shorter-than-normal value if the current shift position is a D position and the vehicle speed is equal to or greater than the preset value.

Electronic shift lever

An electronic shift lever is provided and includes a housing which accommodates various components therein. A motor unit generates a driving force and a reduction unit is connected to the motor unit. The reduction unit is configured to increase the driving force generated from the motor unit. The motor unit and the reduction unit are accommodated inside the housing and are formed integrally with each other.

RANGE-SWITCHING CONTROL DEVICE

During changing of a shift range (for example, from P-range to NotP-range), an SBW-ECU determines whether it is in a range-change delay condition (a switching completion time of the shift range is delayed than a normal switching completion time). When it is determined that it is in the range-change delay condition, it is determined whether a target range should be changed to a safer range (for example, P-range). As a result, when it is determined that the target range should be changed to the safer range, the target range is changed to the safer range. Thereby, even if a driver determines that the shift range cannot be changed before the switching completion of the shift range and the driver gets off the vehicle, the shift range can be changed to the safer range (P-range).
