ELASTOMER SEAL SPRING
The seal spring of the present invention has a dual functionality. The seal spring provides both a sealing property and spring function in use within an electrical connector system, which is accomplished by its elastomeric qualities, The seal spring is preferably comprised of Silicone, EPDM rubber or materials and compositions that provide similar performance during use, or the like. The seal spring of the present invention is not limited or defined into a spring section or a seal section by its geometry. Shown is an implementation of the seal spring within a conductive female housing and connector assembly. The seal spring compresses and provides adequate spring force against a disk ferrule assembly, pressing the disk ferrule assembly, with a wire shield, against a conductive female outer housing, providing a grounding scheme for the connector assembly. The seal spring also seals against the female outer housing and a wire.
GROMMET APPARATUS
A grommet apparatus for cable passage is provided at a component opening. It includes a radially circumferential connecting portion for connecting the grommet apparatus to an edge region of a component opening in an assembly direction and a cable passage portion.
SEAL, AIRCRAFT INCLUDING THE SEAL, AND METHODS THEREFOR
A method of using a seal to seal a space between a first structure and a second structure that is movable relative to the first structure, the method includes engaging both the first structure and the second structure with the seal so as to seal the space with the second structure in a first position relative to the first structure, and disengaging the second structure from at least a portion of the seal with the second structure in a second position relative to the first structure so that at least a portion of the space is unsealed, where the second structure swipes across the seal moving between the first position and the second position.
BALL JOINT SEAL
The pipe ball joint includes a casing having a socket portion with a substantially spherical interior surface and a first pipe segment extending from the socket portion. The socket portion has an annular groove disposed adjacent the partially spherical interior surface. A ball pipe section includes a ball segment received in the socket portion of the casing and a second pipe segment extending from the ball segment. A seal assembly is received in the annular groove of the casing and is disposed against the ball segment of the ball pipe section. The seal assembly includes a plurality of nested seal rings that each include a concave face and a convex face.
Aerodynamic sealing and wing for an aircraft comprising such sealing
An aerodynamic sealing includes: an elastic first sealing wall extending between a first bottom edge and a first tip edge; an elastic second sealing wall extending between a second bottom edge and a second tip edge, and extending convergent with respect to the first sealing wall, so that the first and second sealing walls are joined together at their first and second tip edges to form a tip line; a bottom element connecting the first bottom edge to the second bottom edge, wherein the bottom element is joined to both the first sealing wall and the second sealing wall; and a plurality of stiffening elements connecting the first sealing wall to the second sealing wall between the tip line and the bottom element, wherein the stiffening elements are spaced apart from one another and joined to both the first sealing wall and the second sealing wall.
