The seal ring is annular around an axis x and includes an annular outer peripheral surface facing an outer periphery side, and a plurality of recessed parts. The recessed parts are formed in such a way as to be spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction and are recessed from the outer peripheral surface toward an inner periphery side. The recessed parts expand, in the axis x direction, from one side surface to a position which does not reach another side surface. The outer peripheral surface includes a annular contact surface between the another side surface and the position, and rib surfaces respectively between mutually neighboring recessed parts in the circumferential direction. Each of the rib surfaces extends between the one side surface and the position in the axis x direction.

WEAR RING AND WEAR RING ARRANGEMENT

A wear ring for guidance of two machine components are arranged movably relative to one another along/around a movement axis, which is formed in one piece from a plastic or a reinforced plastic material and which is slit such that it has two free ends. The wear ring has a cross-sectional width W, which at least sectionally, increases in a radial direction towards the rear side of the wear ring. The wear ring has one or more recesses formed on its front side and/or on its the rear side for increasing its deformability and thus facilitate mounting thereof in a mounting groove of a machine element. Furthermore, a wear ring arrangement with a wear ring can be clipped into a mounting groove of one of the machine components of the wear ring arrangement.

Provided is a seal ring configured so that stable lubrication performance can be provided across a wide range of rotation speed. A seal ring for sealing a clearance between a rotary shaft and a housing includes inclined grooves formed at a sliding surface so as to be arranged in a circumferential direction, the inclined grooves being open on an outer diameter side of the seal ring to generate a drawing pressure. The seal ring further includes supply grooves being open on a sealed fluid side of the seal ring and extending in a radially outward direction toward inner diameter sides of the inclined grooves.

A noncontacting intershaft seal system includes force generating mechanisms to reduce contact related effects. A sealing system includes an outer shaft that has a hollow interior. An inner shaft extends through the hollow interior of the outer shaft. Spaced apart end plates encircle and rotate with the inner shaft. A gland opening is defined between the inner and outer shafts and between the end plates. A ring is disposed in the gland opening. The end plates and/or the ring include force generating elements that generate force to separate the ring from the end plates, reducing contact related heat generation and wear.

SEALING DEVICE
20170343109 · 2017-11-30 ·

The present invention is to provide a sealing device that has a small number of parts as three or less to achieve a more compact sealing device. The sealing device is combined an inner seal ring, an outer seal ring held in an outer circumferential holding groove of the inner seal ring, and a back ring. The outer seal ring satisfies a dimensional size relationship of T>A when T is the radial thickness dimension of the outer seal ring, G is the protrusion gap dimension, R is the radial width dimension of the chamfered sections on the edges of the open side of the seal installation groove, and A is the sum of the protrusion gap dimension G and the radial width dimension R of the chamfered sections on the edges of the open side.

Die casting piston and ring assembly

The invention relates to a die casting ring (1) internally fitted with radial teeth (11) to be engaged into matching seats (22) provided on a piston (2). This piston-ring assembly prevents mutual rotation or axial translation, in addition to ensuring an optimal seal against infiltration of liquid metal during the die casting process. When the ring has a cutout (10), it can be mounted accurately onto the piston because the teeth (11) allow the cutout to be positioned anywhere relative to the piston.
