A seal ring includes: a static seal seat arranged inside the seal ring in a radial direction; and two sealing lips arranged outside the seal seat in the radial direction, the two sealing lips being axial sealing lips, one sealing lip of the axial sealing lips being a radially inner first and an other sealing lip of the axial sealing lips being a radially outer second axial sealing lip, the second axial sealing lip enclosing the first axial sealing lip at a radial distance on an outer circumference. The first axial sealing lip has greater flexibility in the radial direction than the second axial sealing lip. The second axial sealing lip has a surface structure radially externally on a side facing radially away from the first axial sealing lip, which surface structure is aerodynamically active during an intended use of the seal ring, so as to swirl an air layer.
SEALING DEVICE AND SEALING STRUCTURE
A sealing device seals a gap between a housing and a rotating body disposed in a hole of the housing and separates an internal space of the housing from an atmosphere side. The sealing device includes a stationary sealing member and a rotational sealing member. The rotational sealing member includes a hollow cylindrical portion into which a cylindrical portion of the rotating body is to be interference fitted, and a flange portion disposed closer to an internal space side than the hollow cylindrical portion. The stationary sealing member includes a mounted hollow cylindrical portion that is to be mounted to the housing, and a seal lip being to be brought into slidable contact with an outer peripheral surface of the hollow cylindrical portion of the rotational sealing member. The rotational sealing member further includes an auxiliary lip mounted to the flange portion, the auxiliary lip being to be brought into slidable contact with an inner peripheral surface of the mounted hollow cylindrical portion.
STAINLESS STEEL RUNNING SURFACE ON A PLASTIC DEFLECTOR
A differential for a rear wheel drive vehicle is previewed comprising a differential case for rotationally supporting and housing a pinion shaft with the pinion shaft extending axially through an opening in the differential case. A pinion seal extends around the pinion shaft and has an outer edge abutting a cavity wall defining the opening in the differential case. The pinion seal has an axial lip projecting in an axial direction. A plastic deflector has a discshaped main body formed of a plastic material, a passageway extending through the plastic deflector, and a stainless steel ring fixedly coupled to the disc-shaped main body providing a stainless steel running surface. The plastic deflector is assembled on the pinion shaft such that the pinion shaft extends through the deflector passageway and the stainless steel running surface abuts the axial lip of the pinion seal.
BEARING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE WHEEL
A bearing device for a wheel, which has improved axial assembly accuracy of a sealing member by reducing the amount of springback. The bearing device for a wheel comprises an inner sealing member that blocks an inner opening end of an annular space formed by an outer ring and an inner ring. A sealing ring of the inner sealing member has a core metal fitting in the outer ring and an elastic member joined to the core metal. The elastic member has: a pressing part that is pressed inward in the axial direction when the sealing ring is press-fitted into the outer ring; and a non-pressing part that is not pressed inward in the axial direction when the sealing ring is press-fitted into the outer ring, wherein the axial thickness of the pressing part is thinner than the axial thickness of the non-pressing part.
MAGNETIC LIQUID SEALING DEVICE
A magnetic liquid sealing device is provided. The magnetic liquid sealing device includes a housing, a rotating shaft, a pole shoe, a permanent magnet, and a first sealing ring. The rotating shaft is provided with an annular first stop portion, the pole shoe has a first end face and a second end face opposite to each other in an axial direction of the rotating shaft, and the permanent magnet is fitted over the rotating shaft. The first sealing ring is fitted over the rotating shaft, and includes a first part and a second part. The first part is sealedly fitted with at least one of the first end face and an inner peripheral surface of the housing, and an inner end of the second part is a first free end movably arranged along the axial direction of the rotating shaft.
Split V-ring seal assembly
A seal assembly includes an annular seal body disposable about a first member and having an axial sealing lip engageable with the radial surface of a second member, first and second circumferential ends and an outer circumferential surface. A plurality of teeth extend outwardly from the outer surface and are spaced circumferentially about a centerline. A first coupler member has teeth disposed between and attached to the teeth of the seal body to form a first attachment interface adjacent to the seal body first end. A second coupler member has teeth disposed between and attached to the teeth of the seal body to form a second attachment interface adjacent to the seal body second end. The first and second coupler members are connected so as to couple the two ends of the seal body and to retain the seal assembly about the first member.
AXIAL SEAL ASSEMBLY WITH HINGED LIP
An axial seal assembly is for sealing against a radial engagement surface of an outer member or an inner member disposed within a bore of the outer member. The seal assembly includes an annular case coupled with the outer member or disposed about the inner member and an annular elastomeric seal body. The seal body includes an inner portion attached to the case and an outer portion extending axially and radially from the inner portion so as to be positionable generally parallel to the radial engagement surface. The outer portion has a contact section extending generally axially from a remainder of the outer portion and being sealingly engageable with the radial engagement surface, the seal body outer portion being bendable about the seal body inner portion such that the seal body outer portion remains parallel to the engagement surface during axial displacement between the annular case and the engagement surface.
