Disclosed is a valve comprising: an annular body defining a body bore having a bore axis, the body further defining a channel coannular with the bore, the channel comprising an axially outer edge defining a seat retention groove, the seat retention groove comprising a metal barrier; an annular valve seat positioned in the channel, the valve seat comprising a radially inner surface; and a valve element positioned in the bore and coupled to the body, the valve element comprising a rotatable disc configured to rotate about and between a closed position, in which the rotatable disc is configured to prevent fluid from flowing through the valve, and an open position, in which the rotatable disc is configured to allow maximum fluid flow through the valve, the radially inner surface of the valve seat configured to seal against the rotatable disc in the closed position.

Replaceable valve plug tip

A valve plug assembly includes a valve plug base, a valve plug tip, and a clamp that removably couples the valve plug tip to the valve plug base. The valve plug base includes a base body portion arranged for attachment to the valve stem and a base mating portion coupled to the base body portion. The valve plug tip has a tip body portion and a tip mating portion coupled to the tip body portion, the tip body portion having a sealing surface arranged to sealingly engage the valve seat. The clamp includes a clamp bore sized to receive at least a portion of the base mating portion and at least a portion of the tip mating portion.

A receptacle for conveying fluid is disclosed. The receptacle may include a main body, a spring retainer, a valve seat assembly, a poppet, and a spring. The main body defines an inlet and an outlet. The spring retainer is disposed in the main body and removable from the main body via the inlet. The valve seat assembly is disposed in the main body and removable from the main body via the inlet. The poppet is slidably engaged with the spring retainer between a closed position and an open position and is engageable with the valve seat assembly. The spring is engaged with the spring retainer and with the poppet to urge the poppet against the valve seat assembly.

An electrically actuated valve is provided. The electrically actuated valve includes a valve housing comprising a valve chamber and a first and second port in fluidic communication with the valve chamber. The electrically actuated valve further comprises a valve sealing component including a cap sealing section adjacent to an opening in the valve housing and a valve seat arranged within the valve chamber between the first port and the second port and a plunger configured to couple to a solenoid piston and including a proximal seal configured to selectively sealingly interface with the valve seat.

BOP single-piece replaceable insert

A replaceable seat seal is used to form a replaceable portion of the ram cavity in a BOP that allows the upper central portion of the ram cavity to be replaced when wear occurs. A method is provided to produce a BOP that with a replaceable portion of the ram cavity. The single piece insert, also referred to as a single insert, utilizes only the single insert to repair the BOP as compared to another design that comprised a top insert, bottom insert, and two side inserts. The top insert of the prior art is comparable in construction and mounting position to the single insert.

Erosion resistant steam valve

A steam valve includes a housing defining a steam inlet and steam outlet in fluid communication with a valve cavity, and an annular valve seat disposed within the valve cavity. A control valve is configured to selectively engage the valve seat. The steam valve further includes a stop valve configured to selectively engage the valve seat. The steam valve includes a pressure seal head configured to receive the stop valve. The pressure seal head includes an elongated body having a bore extending longitudinally through the body; and a nose piece extending from an end of the elongated body. The nose piece has at least a tapered end portion and a bore extending longitudinally therethrough. The bore of the nose piece is longitudinally with the bore of the elongated body. The nose piece is formed of a first material which has greater erosion properties than a second material forming the elongated body.

The invention relates to a valve seat and cage assembly (18) comprising a valve cage (20) and a valve seat (22), the valve seat (22) being adapted to be screwed into the valve cage (20), which valve cage (20), in a connection portion (34) thereof, has a valve cage connection inner diameter (D.sub.K) in which the connection portion (32) of a valve seat (22) engages with its valve seat connection outer diameter (D.sub.V) and thus provides radial centering, a screw connection portion (37) and a shoulder (38), with the shoulder (38) serving as an axial stop between the valve cage and the valve seat, and with the valve seat (22) and the valve cage (20) being pressed against one another with an axial contact pressure component. The invention is characterized in that the screw-connection portion is located between the connection portion (32) and a shoulder (38), with the valve cage connection inner diameter (D.sub.K) and the valve seat connection outer diameter (D.sub.V) forming a fit with one another that will act to center the valve seat and the valve cage.

A flow rate adjusting valve includes: a casing including an inlet, an outlet, and a channel connecting the inlet and the outlet to each other; a valve port disposed in the channel; and a valve body that is disposed upstream of the valve port and moves forward and backward relative to the valve port to adjust an opening degree of an upstream opening of the valve port. The valve port includes a narrowing portion whose opening diameter is smaller than that of the upstream opening, and an enlarging portion continuous to a downstream side of the narrowing portion and having an opening diameter of the narrowing portion. When the upstream opening is at a predetermined opening degree, an area of the valve port through which a fluid passes is at minimum at the narrowing portion.
