FLUID CONNECTION ASSEMBLY
20230258290 · 2023-08-17 ·

A retainer for a fluid connection assembly, including a first end, a second end, a first section, a second section displaceable with respect to the first section, a radially inward facing surface, a radially outward facing surface, and an indicator slidably connected to the first section.

Connecting device for media lines

A connecting device for media lines including a coupling element, an insert part and a fastening element. The coupling element has a connection opening and a fluid channel; the insert part can be inserted into the connection opening; and the insert part can be fastened to the coupling element by the fastening element. The fastening element also has at least one control surface. When the insert part is inserted into the connection opening under the action of an installation force, the insert part acts upon the control surface in such a way that the fastening element is moved against a restoring force. If the installation force is sufficient, the insert part slides past the control surface and the fastening element interlockingly locks the insertion part. If the installation force is not sufficient, the fastening element presses the insert part back out of the connection opening.

Connector for connection between two fluid-conveying elements

A connector for connection between two fluid-conveying elements, in particular for connection between two motor vehicle pipes, with a female plug-in part and a male plug-in part which is insertable into the female plug-in part. A retainer is connected to the female plug-in part, the retainer allowing the male plug-in part to be fixed, in the inserted state, to the female plug-in part. The retainer may be pivoted from an open position to a fixing position—and vice versa—about a pivot axis arranged in the region of the outer surface of the female plug-in part.

COUPLING MEMBER WITH SENSOR
20230250750 · 2023-08-10 ·

A coupling member for coupling components within a coolant circuit includes a conduit having a first end configured to couple to a first component and a second end configured to couple to a second component, wherein, in use, a coolant fluid passes from the first component to the second component through the conduit. The coupling member further includes a sensor integral with the conduit and positioned between the first and second ends of the conduit, the sensor being configured to detect the presence of gas or air within the conduit.

PLUG-TYPE COUPLING WITH PRE-ASSEMBLY LOCKING
20230243449 · 2023-08-03 ·

A plug-type coupling for connecting first and second fluid lines or a sub-assembly, which are designed with a mating plug-type coupling. The plug-type coupling including a housing including a sleeve section with a receiving channel (8) for axially receiving an adapter sleeve. The adapter sleeve being removably held in a positive-locking manner. The adapter sleeve includes a through-opening for a plug shaft of the mating plug-type coupling and a retaining means for removable attachment of the mating plug-type coupling. In an assembled state, the retaining means axially blocks the mating plug-type coupling with respect to the assembly axis. A locking element is arranged on an outer circumference of the sleeve section and is axially movable from a release position, which releases the retaining means, into a locking position, which locks the retaining means. In the release position, the locking element is fixed against axial movement into the locking position.

Method and apparatus for installing an assurance cap onto a fluid connector using optical and induction sensors
11306854 · 2022-04-19 · ·

A tool for installing an assurance cap on a fluid connector assembly, the fluid connector assembly including a connector body including a resilient clip and a tubular member operatively arranged to be connected in the connector body, the tool including an annular groove arranged to engage an end of the assurance cap and a proximity sensor operatively arranged to detect the position of the tool relative to the connector body.

QUICK CONNECTOR

Provided is a quick connector. When a pipe is inserted into a connector main body, first leg parts of a retainer are deformed and expanded by pressing force in the axial direction on tapered surfaces of the first leg parts caused by an annular protrusion of the pipe, and the annular protrusion of the pipe can pass through the first leg parts in the insertion direction. When the pipe releases from the normal position, the retainer moves in a prescribed direction from a standard position, the first leg parts make contact with a first guide of the connector main body, and the first leg parts are deformed so as to expand, and due to the deformation and expansion of the first leg parts the annular protrusion of the pipe can pass through the first leg parts in the release direction.

CONNECTOR

A connector for connecting two fluid-conducting elements, in particular for connecting two motor vehicle pipelines, with a female plug-in part and a male plug-in part that can be plugged into the female plug-in part. The male plug-in part can be fixed on the female plug-in part via at least one fixing element. At least one indicator element is provided, which indicates the properly or completely fixed state of the male plug-in part which has been reached via the fixing element. When the male plug-in part is inserted into the female plug-in part, the indicator element is displaced outward in the radial direction. A radial outer position of the indicator element shows the properly fixed state of the male plug-in part on the female plug-in part.

TRANSMITTER FOR QUICK CONNECTOR

A quick connector coupling for making a severable connection with a male member and a female tube in a fluid line includes a connector body having a through bore for receiving the male member having a tubular shape sized to extend into the through bore of the connector body and having an upset, a retainer releasably securing the male member within the connector body, and a verifier including a conductor and moving between a verified position and an unverified position inside the connector body. The connector body includes a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip and an antenna electrically connected to the RFID chip to form a first circuit. In the unverified position of the verifier, the RFID chip electrically connected to the antenna sends an unverified signal through the antenna, and when the verifier is moved in the verified position, the RFID chip sends a verified signal through the antenna.
