Connector
A connector comprising a body (1) having a through-way defining an axis and which is open at one end (4) and a shoulder (8) in the through-way faces the open end and supports an O-ring (9). A cap (2) is fitted within an open end of the body and extends from the open end towards the opposite end, the cap being retained in the body (1) by a snap fit. The cap has a plurality of legs (24) extending away from the open end, the legs each having an outwardly extending tooth (22) at the end opposite to the open end to engage with a complimentary recess (12) in the body to provide the snap fit. A collet (3) in the cap has a plurality of legs (31) extending away from the open end, at least one collet leg engaging with a leg of the cap and having an inwardly facing tooth (32) to grip a tube in the through-way. The cap (2) has an inwardly facing tapered surface (29) that is tapered to provide a cap angle that engages with the collet legs (31) such that axial movement of the collet (3) towards the open end (4) causes inward deflection of the collet legs and causes a radially outward force to be applied to the legs (24) of the cap (2) via the tapered surface (29) to urge the or each tooth of the cap into its respective complimentary recess (12).
PUSH-FIT PIPE FITTING WITH A VISUAL INDICATOR
A push-fit type fitting that can be used to connect a pipe to either another pipe or a variety of other fittings. The fitting includes a visual indicator that provides a visual confirmation to the user once the pipe has been correctly retained in the device.
PIPING CONNECTIONS AND CONNECTION SOCKETS
A connection socket for a tubular connection includes a socket cup having a metal alloy composition and a sealing portion. A primary seal is positioned within the sealing portion. The primary seal includes an elastomeric material having a service temperature. One or more spacer rings are positioned within the sealing portion. A secondary seal is positioned within the sealing portion. The secondary seal includes a metal composition, wherein the secondary seal has a melting temperature at or above the service temperature of the primary seal. One or more locking rings are positioned within the sealing portion, wherein each of the one or more locking rings comprises a biting feature defined along an internal circumference of the locking ring.
Pipe fitting with grip ring
A pipe fitting includes a fitting body defining an inner surface, an outer surface, a first fitting end, and a second fitting end, the inner surface defining a channel extending from the first fitting end to the second fitting end, a portion of the inner surface defining a tapered region tapering towards the first fitting end; and an engagement assembly comprising a metal grip ring received in the channel, the metal grip ring defining a substantially frustoconical ring body, the ring body defining a diameter that tapers from a first lateral end of the ring body to a second lateral end of the ring body, the engagement assembly configured to slide along the tapered region.
Pipe fitting with grip ring
A pipe fitting includes a fitting body defining an inner surface, an outer surface, a first fitting end, and an second fitting end, the inner surface defining a channel extending from the first fitting end to the second fitting end, a portion of the inner surface defining a tapered region tapering towards the first fitting end; and an engagement assembly comprising a metal grip ring received in the channel, the metal grip ring defining a ring body and a plurality of teeth extending inward from the ring body, the engagement assembly configured to slide along the tapered region.
A PIPE COUPLING FOR RECEIVING, HOLDING AND RELEASING A PIPE AND A METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A PIPE COUPLING
A pipe coupling (100) for receiving, holding and releasing a pipe, comprising a coupling body (110) having a bore (B) with a geometric axis (A) into which a pipe can be inserted in a pipe insertion direction (P); a rotatable sleeve (170) which is arranged at least partially around the coupling body (110) and which is rotatable around the axis of the bore with respect to the coupling body (110); a gripping element (140) configured to engage a surface of the pipe; a pipe release element (160) configured to disengage the gripping element (140) from the surface of the pipe upon axial movement of the pipe release element (160); and a release collar (180) coupled to an end of the rotatable sleeve (170). Axial rotation of the rotatable sleeve (170) in a first direction causes the release collar (180) to move axially from a locked position to an unlocked position and wherein in the unlocked position, the release collar (180) can be moved axially in a pipe insertion direction (P) to cause the pipe release element (160) to disengage the gripping element (140) from the surface of the pipe.
System and method for storing and selectively dispensing liquids
The inventive system and method advantageously enable superior preserved storage and selective dispensation of liquids by storing wine (or other liquids) in a pressurized environment to ensure that the stored liquid does not come into contact with air, and then by selectively dispensing a portion of the stored liquid, in accordance with a desired dispensing regime, by utilizing a controlled source of pressure force to apply a sufficient pressure to the pressurized environment to expel the desired volume of the liquid in a pressurized stream directed to a dispensing/pouring interface through a conduit or equivalent delivery system. In at least several novel embodiments thereof, the system and method of the present invention are configured for use with wine-in-bag (“WinB”) products.
Mechanical fitting for plastic pipe
Spigot device including a spigot formed with exterior gripping teeth and sleeve device to telescope over the spigot. The sleeve device is formed with a radially inwardly opening, distally contracting conical bearing surface which mounts a radially inwardly contractible gripper ring device captive therein, and constructed to be driven radially inwardly by the bearing surface as the sleeve is drawn proximally on the spigot to grip a plastic pipe trapped in the annulus between the sleeve and spigot.
Press fitting assembly
A press fitting assembly is provided that includes: a piping component including a receiving device which includes an open end and a shoulder, the open end comprising a continuous stop; a grip ring positioned within the receiving device abutting the continuous stop and comprising a plurality of opposing teeth; a sealing element positioned within the receiving device and abutting the shoulder, wherein the sealing element comprises at least one lobe; and a separator ring positioned within the receiving device between the sealing element and the grip ring, the ring comprises a base portion and an angled portion. Further, the angled portion is angled toward the sealing element and the shoulder.
PIPE FITTINGS
Improvements to stab-type pipe fittings capable of being inserted onto plastic pipes and provide a leak proof connection are provided. The pipe fittings have an outer casing with pipe ports, a hollow inner casing positioned within the outer casing, a pipe gripper and stiffener positioned within the inner casing. The pipe ports have an elongated lip that straightens a pipe inserted into the fitting. The stiffener provides a multi-compression seal to facilitate the leak proof connection.
