Connection unit for connecting fluid lines

A connection unit for connecting fluid lines, including a plug-in unit connectable to a first fluid line not belonging to the connection unit, defining a first fluid flow channel in its interior, and a receiving unit connectable to a second fluid line not belonging to the connection unit, defining a second fluid flow channel in its interior. The plug-in unit and the receiving unit are connectable to establish a fluid connection between the first and second fluid flow channels. The connection unit also includes a release element transferrable from a holding state to a release state upon insertion of the plug-in unit into the receiving unit up to a predetermined depth, and an indicator element formed separately from the release element and locked by the release element in the holding state. The indicator element is detachable from the connection unit when the release element is in the release state.

RELEASABLE CONNECT/DISCONNECT FITTING CONNECTION

A connection to releasably connect and disconnect to a pipe to a fitting provides a pipe fitting body for receiving a pipe and a retaining ring located within the fitting body for retaining and releasing the pipe. The retaining ring has axially extending resilient retaining tabs, each of which has a radially inwardly extending portion for engaging the pipe, and, a radially outwardly extending portion which extends through corresponding radial openings in the fitting body. When the pipe is inserted into the fitting body to an inserted position and the retaining ring is in the first locked axial position, the radially inwardly extending portions engage and retain the pipe in the inserted position. Relative axial movement of the retaining ring with respect to the fitting body from the first locked axial position to a second unlocked axial position causes the radially outwardly extending portions to operatively engage the corresponding body radial openings to resiliently radially outwardly deform each resilient retaining tab thereby disengaging the radially inwardly extending portions from the pipe and permitting removal of the pipe from the inserted position.

Reagent magazine with motor latch coupler

A motorized latch assembly includes an electric motor, an eccentric cam attached via gears to a shaft of the motor and a latch plate configured to lock the reagent cartridge to the coupler. The eccentric cam is rotated when the shaft of the motor rotates. When the eccentric cam is rotated so that the eccentric cam presses down upon the latch plate, the latch plate moves a sufficient distance to permit the reagent cartridge to be disconnected from the coupler.

A connection device for connecting a tubular connector to equipment comprises: a connection end fitting formed by a tubular body and a head mounted thereon, the head being provided with an opening leading into the tubular body and comprising a retaining groove; a flexible lock, which has an annular shape and is intended to be partially received in the retaining groove, the lock being provided with lugs extending radially toward the center of the lock, wherein the flexible lock is deformable and the lugs can close on the tubular connector and abut against the collar when the tubular connector is introduced into the connection end fitting; an unlocking ring having a collar for insertion into the connection end fitting, the collar including unlocking elements for interacting with the flexible lock to force the opening thereof when the unlocking ring is rotated.

Male fluidic connecting element and connector comprising such an element and a female mating element

A male connecting element and a connector comprising the male connecting element and a female connecting element are disclosed. The male connecting element comprises a tubular body and a tubular plug, for the passage of fluid, having a flange for hooking up one or more claws of a female element. The body includes a sleeve that is axially movable around the plug between a first position where it is away from the flange, and a second position where it is closer to the flange or in abutment to the flange. The sleeve allows the male element to move axially away then radially clearing each claw of the flange before removal of the male element out of the female element. Advantageously, the claws avoid abutting against the flange of the male element upon uncoupling, thereby minimizing wear and tear of the claws against the flange.

Quick connection arrangement for detachably connecting a medium line to a connecting piece
10012335 · 2018-07-03 · ·

A quick connection arrangement is for detachably connecting a medium line by way of a (SAE) connecting piece, comprising a housing having an opening for receiving the medium line, and a connecting piece opening for receiving the (SAE) connecting piece, so that between the medium line and the (SAE) connecting piece, a medium can be guided through the housing. The quick connection arrangement further comprises a locking body for locking the (SAE) connecting piece in the connecting piece opening, which is essentially arranged inside the connecting piece opening and provided with at least two, essentially radially acting locking elements for locking the (SAE) connecting piece in the connecting piece opening in a longitudinal direction (A). The locking body is further provided with at least two, essentially radially acting unlocking elements, configured to make it possible to undo the locking of the (SAE) connecting piece by the locking elements when actuated.

FLUID COUPLINGS

This document describes fluid handling couplings. For example, this document describes fluid handling couplings that include manually openable valves and that are configured for aseptic fluid handling usage. In some embodiments, the valves are manually openable by rotation of a collar of the fluid handling couplings.

ASEPTIC JUNCTION DEVICE FOR A TUBE

An aseptic junction device for a tube includes a tubular insert having a first end segment and a second end segment, an annular body mounted on the second end segment of the insert, and an annular sealing element. A maneuvering sleeve is rotatably mounted between a connection position and a disconnection position, and is coupled to the insert so that a rotation of the sleeve from the connection position to the disconnection position leads an axial movement of the body from a projecting position to a flush position. A coupling is arranged to allow decoupling of the junction device and another junction device, only when the sleeve is in the disconnection position.

Coupling connector with automatically activated retainer

A coupling connector has a coupling body as well as a plug lock. The plug lock comprises a retainer and a verifier, wherein the plug lock can be inserted into the coupling body in a radial direction. The verifier has two legs and a back, wherein the ends of the legs facing away from the back are allocated to a bottom of the coupling body. If a coupling plug is inserted into the coupling connector, the plug lock is automatically transferred from a disengaged position into an engaged position. The coupling connector is designed in such a way that bottom-side ends of the legs retain their distance to each other while being deflected by the coupling plug.
