SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING PIPE LINERS
20210396340 · 2021-12-23 ·

A method and apparatus for moving pipe rehabilitation objects, such as a pipe liner through a host pipeline. Flexible tubing is used to connect to the pipe rehabilitation object and to apply a force to cause the pipe rehabilitation objection to move through host pipeline. The flexible tubing is also capable of conveying a fluid, such as a lubricant through the tubing.

Expandable pipe including a liner for restoring a conduit

An expandable pipe for restoring a damaged pipe is provided. The expandable pipe includes a liner formed of thermoplastic polyurethane, and grout material applied to the exterior surface of the liner. The exterior surface includes a plurality of flared tips and grooves, and each groove is located between adjacent flared tips. The grout material is disposed on the flared tips and in the grooves of the liner. The method used to restore the damaged pipe includes clamping the liner with the grout material on a puller-sealer fixture having a U-shaped cross-section to prevent debris from entering the interior of the liner, and pulling the puller-sealer fixture and liner through the damaged pipe. The grout material expands in volume upon exposure to moisture, ultra violet radiation, heat, and/or ultrasonics, and fills cracks or other imperfections and voids along the interior surface of the conduit, caused by corrosion, erosion, or other circumstances.

Method for producing a pipe lined with an inner liner

A pipe, the inner surface of which is lined with a thermoplastic layer, is produced by a process comprising the following steps: a) a metal pipe is provided, b) a tubular inliner composed of a thermoplastic material is provided, c) a tape is cohesively helically bonded to the inliner, wherein the region of the contact surface of the tape consists of a moulding composition or an adhesive which adhere firmly to the surface of the inliner, and wherein the region of the opposing surface of the tape consists of a moulding composition or an adhesive which adhere firmly to the metal of the pipe, wherein the tape contains unidirectional reinforcing fibers; d) the cross section of the inliner is optionally reduced by exposure to an external force, e) the inliner is inserted into the metal pipe, f) by means of contact pressure and optionally heat, the inliner and metal pipe are firmly bonded to each other. Relative movements between the metal pipe and inliner are thereby prevented; the inliner also has high safety against collapse. The pipe is used to produce a routed pipeline.

Irrigation pipe liner

A pipe liner for lining a fluid-carrying pipe, the pipe liner comprising an elongated flexible conduit and a flexible flange. The flexible conduit includes an outer wall forming an open-ended central channel for allowing fluids to be pumped therethrough. The flexible flange extends radially from one end of the elongated conduit and includes a number of fastener holes. The flexible conduit and the flexible flange are configured to be collapsed and pulled through the pipe such that the flexible flange can be connected to a rigid flange of the pipe via the fastener holes. The pipe liner is less prone to leak and is easier to transport and install.

CIPP Liner Reel System
20220205577 · 2022-06-30 ·

A CIPP liner reel system for managing the utilization and deployment of CIPP liners. The CIPP liner reel system generally includes a frame connected to a reel and drive unit. The drive unit is connected to the reel to control the rotation of its core. This core contains an opening that provides access to a connector unit within the core. This connector unit can be used to connect the reel to the end of a CIPP liner using a strap. Rotation of the core causes CIPP liner to wind on to or unwind from the reel. The reel may also contain a left guide member and a right guide member to assist in controlling the process of winding and unwinding the CIPP liner. The frame may also include a tractor connector that enables the CIPP liner reel system to be coupled to and transported by a tractor without affecting its operation.

CURED IN PLACE PIPE SYSTEM HAVING A SENSOR

A cured in place pipe system having a sensor has a cured in place pipe having a seam, a sensor incorporated into the seam, the sensor for transmitting a signal indicative of a condition within the cured in place pipe, and a communications device positioned remote from the sensor and capable of receiving the signal from the sensor.

CABLE PULLER AND METHOD OF USE
20220131350 · 2022-04-28 ·

A cable puller and a related method of use are provided. The cable puller includes a frame, a winch mounted to the frame, a frame mount and one or more redirection pulleys that guide a cable. The mount is mountable to an arm of a piece of equipment, e.g., excavator, backhoe, loader, etc., and configured to allow manipulation and tilting of the frame to align the redirection pulley at a level and orientation relative to an underground tubing that is to be decommissioned and/or replaced. A deflection plate can be joined with the frame forward of the pulley to protect the pulley if the cable draws a portion of the underground tubing toward it. A splitting wedge can be joined to the frame to fracture underground tubing drawn toward the plate or pulley. Related methods of use also are provided.

COMPOSITE REINFORCEMENT OF TUBULAR STRUCTURES
20230323995 · 2023-10-12 ·

Systems and methods for reinforcement of tubular structures via composite internal dowels are provided herein. The hardening of a curable fill inside a flexible sleeve provides conformal contact between the resulting dowel and the surrounding tubular structure. Permeation of the fill through the sleeve may improve the bond. Attachment of the sleeve to a narrower tube may allow for precise positioning of the sleeve as well as a reduction in the amount of fill required. Ultimately, the internal dowels may extend past a degraded section of the tubular structure from a selected lower limit below the degraded section to a selected upper limit above the degraded section.
