Then, on the liner cylindrical portion, 90% or more of the sum of the thickness of the inner hoop layer and the thickness of the outer hoop layer in the mixed layer is arranged within the range of 75% of the fiber reinforced plastics layer adjacent to the liner in a thickness direction of the fiber reinforced plastics layer.

A manufacturing method of a high-pressure tank including a reinforcement layer configured of fiber reinforced resin including carbon fiber and a liner provided on an inner side of the reinforcement layer includes: a step (a) of preparing the reinforcement layer including a cylindrical portion and a pair of dome portions, the dome portions disposed at respective ends of the cylindrical portion; a step (b) of forming a film on an inner surface of each of the cylindrical portion and the dome portions without using a polymerization catalyst that is deactivated by a component contained in the reinforcement layer; a step (c) of applying a material of the liner to a surface of the film, the material being an uncured material of the liner and containing the polymerization catalyst; and a step (d) of forming the liner by curing the material of the liner applied through a polymerization reaction.

A method of manufacturing a high pressure tank includes: preparing a liner; forming a fiber reinforced resin layer which is a layer of a fiber reinforced resin on an outer side of the liner, and forming a resin layer which is a layer formed of a portion of a thermosetting resin on an outer surface of the fiber reinforced resin layer; increasing a temperature of the fiber reinforced resin layer and the resin layer to a predetermined temperature which is a temperature at which the thermosetting resin is cured; causing a pressure in the liner to be regulated to be a second pressure higher than a first pressure which is a pressure in the liner in the forming of the fiber reinforced resin layer and the resin layer; and maintaining the temperature of the fiber reinforced resin layer and the resin layer at the predetermined temperature.

An aspect of the present embodiments provides a process for producing a pressure vessel blank using an apparatus comprising at least one connection element that enables a shortened time for producing a pressure vessel blank with increased stability under pressure.

A high-pressure tank includes a cylindrical portion including a fiber-reinforced resin and a dome portion including a fiber-reinforced resin. The cylindrical portion includes an axial fiber layer including a fiber oriented in a center axis direction of the high-pressure tank, and a circumferential fiber layer including a fiber oriented in a circumferential direction of the high-pressure tank. A fuel system is provided that includes a fuel system frame and in some cases access steps. The frame can be mounted to a vehicle frame rail. Bracket assemblies can be coupled to the fuel system frame at a plurality of positions. The fuel tank can be mounted at neck portions thereof and can be supported on the frame rail between the neck portion, e.g., spaced a distance from the neck portions in a longitudinal direction of the fuel system. The access steps can be non-rectangular to provide a wide stepping portion even if the fuel system includes large tanks. The steps can be directly supported by an outside surface of the tank.

The present invention is directed to a reinforcement method for a cylindrical high-pressure tank reinforced by FRP prepreg bandage, totally. For that purpose, this invention developed the manufacturing process for the internal metallic tank assembly where its diameter is comparatively large. It is effective for lightening weight of a high-pressure tank.
Integrated fill system and method
An integrated fill system is provided for a vehicle. The integrated fill system can include a receptacle, a cap that mates with the receptacle, and a fill line that is in fluid communication between the receptacle and a container. The integrated fill system can further include a valve between an opening on an end of the container and an end of the fill line to allow one-way fluid communication for entry of compressed material into the container. The integrated fill system can further include a draw line on an opposite end of the container to maintain separate lines for filling and drawing compressed material into/from the container.
