The methanol-water mixture storage system of the invention is flameproof and explosion-proof, and does not explode in dangerous situations such as traffic collisions, rollover accidents or military attacks of bullets and bombs, thereby ensuring the safety of people and property on vehicles.
HIGH PRESSURE TANK
A high pressure tank includes two ferrules, a resin liner that covers outer parts of the ferrules at both end parts of the resin liner to fixedly install the ferrules, and a CFRP reinforcing layer formed on an outer surface side of the resin liner and attached to the resin liner at a center of a body part of the resin liner. Two leading end parts of the resin liner covering the outer parts of the ferrules protrude from end openings provided at both end parts of the CFRP reinforcing layer.
System and method for transporting methane
A methane transportation system is provided. The system may include a methane source configured to dispense methane at a first location, and an underwater vehicle. The underwater vehicle may include a propulsion system configured to transport the underwater vehicle underwater from the first location to a second location and a vessel defining a storage chamber configured to receive water and the methane from the methane source. The storage chamber of the vessel may have a pressure exceeding one atmosphere and a temperature during transport from the first location to the second location sufficient to form methane clathrate in the storage chamber. The system may further include a methane receiver configured to receive the methane released from the storage chamber at the second location. Related methods are also provided.
RESERVOIR MADE OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL FOR CONTAINING A PRESSURE FLUID
A reservoir made of a composite material includes a tubular element, two end fittings, each inserted into one end of the tubular element, and a circumferential layer that envelops the tubular element and the end fittings. The circumferential layer is made of resin-impregnated wound fibers. At least one segment of each end fitting has an outwardly tapering shape and the wall of the tubular element has a taper at each end, and thus at each end the wall is pressed against the segment surface having a tapering shape. The tubular element includes a plastic tube surrounded by a longitudinal layer essentially made of parallel fibers in a resin matrix, the parallel fibers being oriented along the longitudinal axis of the plastic tube. Finally, the circumferential layer is essentially made of fibers wound around the circumference of the tubular element and end fittings and parallel to each other.
HIGH PRESSURE TANK APPARATUS
A high pressure tank apparatus includes a high pressure tank, a leaked fluid container, and a supply/discharge side discharge flow path. The high pressure tank includes a liner made of resin, a reinforced layer that covers an outer surface of the liner, an insertion member that has formed therein a supply/discharge hole capable of communicating with an inside of the liner and the supply/discharge flow path; and a supply/discharge side cap in which are formed an insertion hole through which the insertion member is inserted and a supply/discharge side draw-out hole that draws out the fluid interposed between the liner and the reinforced layer. The supply/discharge side discharge flow path guides a temporarily released fluid that is the fluid drawn out via the supply/discharge side draw-out hole to a discharge region.
FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD FOR FUEL CELL SYSTEM
A fuel cell system includes: a high-pressure tank including a resin liner and a reinforcing layer; an acquisition portion configured to acquire a value of an internal pressure and a value of an internal temperature of the high-pressure tank; a notification portion; and a controlling portion. The controlling portion sets, in a map of the internal temperature and the internal pressure, a boundary line sectioning the map into a first region and a second region, the first region indicating a possibility that a stress caused in the resin liner damages the resin liner, the second region being a region having a higher temperature and a higher pressure than the first region. When the value of the internal temperature and the value of the internal pressure reach the boundary line, the controlling portion causes the notification portion to notify that the high-pressure tank needs to be filled with a fuel gas.
HIGH PRESSURE TANK STRUCTURE
A high pressure tank structure includes a high pressure tank, a pressure relief device, and a heat-resistant plate. The high pressure tank is capable of storing a fluid on an inside of a resin-made liner covered with a reinforced layer. The pressure relief device, when heated to a certain activating temperature, reduces an internal pressure of the high pressure tank. The heat-resistant plate is integrally attached to the high pressure tank, so as to be disposed facing the reinforced layer which is positioned at least on a bottom surface side when mounted in a mounting body.
RETENTION SYSTEM FOR GAS CYLINDER VALVE
A retention assembly for a valve assembly of a charged cylinder may comprise a first fitting coupled to the valve assembly and a second fitting coupled to the charged cylinder. A retaining member may be coupled between the first fitting and the second fitting. The retaining member may be disposed within an interior chamber of the charged cylinder.
HIGH PRESSURE TANK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HIGH PRESSURE TANK
A method of manufacturing a high pressure tank includes: preparing a liner; forming a fiber reinforced resin layer which is a layer of a fiber reinforced resin on an outer side of the liner, and forming a resin layer which is a layer formed of a portion of a thermosetting resin on an outer surface of the fiber reinforced resin layer; increasing a temperature of the fiber reinforced resin layer and the resin layer to a predetermined temperature which is a temperature at which the thermosetting resin is cured; causing a pressure in the liner to be regulated to be a second pressure higher than a first pressure which is a pressure in the liner in the forming of the fiber reinforced resin layer and the resin layer; and maintaining the temperature of the fiber reinforced resin layer and the resin layer at the predetermined temperature.
PRESSURE VESSEL
A pressure vessel includes: a barrel part disposed in a predefined square area and having a diameter corresponding to a length of one side of the square area; a first nozzle member disposed at one end of the barrel part; a second nozzle member disposed at an opposite end of the barrel part; and clamp rings disposed in the square area, positioned outside the barrel part, and configured to lock the first and second nozzle members to the barrel part, thereby improving spatial utilization and a degree of design freedom.
