This invention provides an automotive lighting device (1) comprising a plurality of solid-state light sources (2) and a light guide (4). The solid-state light sources (2) are configured to emit light according to a light direction (d), each one having a light source centre (20) and each one defining a light source plane (21), which is a plane perpendicular to the light direction (d) which contains the corresponding light source centre (20). The light guide (4) has a reception inlet (40) which projects an optical profile (41) on the closest light source plane (21) according to the light direction (d), the optical profile (41) having an optical centre (42). The light sources (2) are arranged to project light beams to the reception inlet (40) of the light guide (4) in such a way that at least 70% of the light source centres (20) are closer to the optical profile (41) than to the optical centre (42).

This invention provides an automotive lighting device (1) comprising a plurality of solid-state light sources (2) and a light guide (4). The light sources (2) are arranged to project light beams to the reception inlet (40) of the light guide (4) in such a way that at least 70% of the light source centres (20) are closer to the optical profile (41) than to the optical centre (42).

A light for a motor vehicle includes a flat light guide with decoupling structures for light on the front side, as well as at least one light source for coupling light into the flat light guide. A graphic is arranged on the rear side of the light guide, the graphic being constructed from regions with different degrees of reflectivity and/or colors. The decoupling structures and the graphic have the same graphical pattern and are oriented in relation to one another. The at least one light source couples the light into the flat light guide on the end face.
Vehicle exterior door handle system with light module
A vehicular lighted exterior door handle system includes a lighted exterior door handle assembly and a light module disposed at the door handle assembly. The light module includes at least three illumination sources linearly arranged at a circuit board and individually operable to emit light. With the door handle assembly mounted at a door of a vehicle, the individual illumination sources are operated responsive to a user input that is actuatable by a driver of the vehicle to activate a turn signal indicator system of the vehicle. With the door handle assembly mounted at the door of the vehicle, and when the illumination sources are operated to emit light responsive to actuation of the user input, an operation sequence of the individual illumination sources is varied between at least a first operation sequence and a second operation sequence based at least in part on movement of the vehicle.

Light guide having a partially collimating input face
A light guide extending in a main direction and including an inlet face for the light emitted by a light source, the inlet face being contoured to form a collimator. The light guide includes a face for guiding the light, a light outlet face, and a face for decoupling the light towards the outlet face, the decoupling face being transversely opposite to the outlet face. At least one portion of the profile of the inlet face is constant in a transverse direction so as not to collimate the light in a longitudinal plane including the transverse direction but in a longitudinal plane perpendicular to the transverse direction.
