Production and Plant for the Production of Reconstituted Tobacco
A method for producing reconstituted tobacco includes comminuting the solid components of tobacco to a particle size of about 20-220 μm; mixing the comminuted tobacco product with water, at least one binding agent and at least one material to form an aerosol until a mixture with a liquid content of about 30-50% is obtained; subjecting that mixture to a first lamination to obtain a strip of continuous thickness of about 1-20 mm; subjecting the strip to additional rolling passages to obtain a strip having a substantially constant thickness of approximately 90-280 μm; and drying the strip to bring its liquid content to about 8-15%.

METHOD FOR PROCESSING AT LEAST TWO STARTING MATERIALS
A method is provided for processing at least two starting materials into a final processed product where a predetermined moisture interval is provided for each starting material. The method comprises subdividing each moisture interval into two or more moisture classes and measuring a moisture content for each starting material prior to processing. Each starting material is then assigned to one of the two or more moisture classes and processed depending on the assigned moisture class. A moisture measurement of the final processed product is determined and one or more processing steps are adapted based on the measuring results for the final processed product to achieve a homogeneous moisture distribution in the final processed product.

Method for producing a homogenized tobacco material, and homogenized tobacco material
The present invention relates to a method to produce a homogenized tobacco material for use in a heat-not-burn aerosol-generating article, comprising the steps of: selecting a first target value for a first tobacco characteristic, said first tobacco characteristic being reducing sugars and the first target value being comprised between about 8 percent and about 18 percent in dry weight basis of a total amount of tobacco present within the homogenized tobacco material; selecting a second target value of a second tobacco characteristic, wherein the second tobacco characteristic is one of total ammonia and total alkaloids; blending graded tobacco types so as to form the tobacco blend, each graded tobacco type comprising a predetermined amount of the first and second tobacco characteristics, so that the first and second target values of said first and second tobacco characteristics are obtained in said blend within a predetermined tolerance range; grinding said tobacco blend into a blended tobacco powder; forming a slurry comprising the blended tobacco powder; and forming a web of homogenous tobacco web from the slurry.

System and method for preparing mixture of ground substances dispensed in one or more receptacles
An apparatus and method for automatically preparing a mixture of particles of two or more substances such as but not limited to raw tobacco and raw medical cannabis flowers in one or more receptacle where the mixture proportion is predefined, is disclosed. The apparatus of the invention can be used for mixing any types of herbal substances. Moreover, the apparatus of the invention can be used for mixing one or more kinds of the same substance, for example mixing two or more kinds of marijuana strains. The apparatus includes one or more compartments for inserting each of the substances separately. In some variations of the present invention the size of at least one of the compartments is smaller for predefined smaller quantities of raw herbal material for example, a single marijuana flower.
