The present invention provides a Type 3 pressure vessel comprising a polar boss that is attached to a metallic liner and provides reinforced static strength, fatigue strength, endurance, chemical resistance and/or corrosion resistance of the liner orifice or neck region. In particular, the material of the polar boss has higher static strength, fatigue strength, endurance, chemical resistance and/or corrosion resistance relative to that of the liner material.

Systems and methods for creating a pressure pulse within a pipeline are disclosed. The method includes isolating a barrel of a pipeline inspection gauge (PIG) station from the pipeline, pressurizing the barrel up to a selected pressure, and opening an isolation valve between the barrel and the pipeline, thereby creating the pressure pulse.
Bladder surge suppressor
A bladder and attachment member assembly for use with a container comprises an elastomeric gas-filled bladder comprising a valve stem. A first attachment member is disposed over the valve stem within the container with the bladder. A second attachment member is disposed over the valve stem and over the first attachment member. The second attachment member is outside of the container interposed between the valve stem and a container opening. Rotational movement of the valve stem is fixed relative to one or both of the first and second attachment members. In an example, the valve stem comprises one or more surface features that register with one or more surface features of the first and/or second attachment member to thereby fix relative valve stem rotational movement. In an example, the valve stem surface feature is a flat surface that registers with a flat surface of the second attachment member inside diameter.
INTERMEDIATE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
Embodiments of an intermediate hydraulic system and method of use are disclosed, the system for receiving hydraulic fluid from at least one hydraulic power source and transmitting the hydraulic fluid to at least one hydraulic implement. The system may comprise at least one selector valve, at least one accumulator, and at least one valve controller, each in fluid communication one with the other and operative to receive and transmit hydraulic fluid therebetween, and at least one processor for automatically controlling hydraulic fluid flow and pressures through the system in real time.
