HOLLOW WALL ANCHOR

A hollow wall anchor includes a wall penetrating component having an externally threaded portion and a wall penetrating end portion, and a body component having a wall face engaging portion and an internally threaded portion that receives the externally threaded portion of the wall penetrating component. Rotation of the components together in a first direction for wall penetration moves both the wall penetrating component and the body component into the wall until the wall face engaging portion of the body component engages the wall to limit further rotation of the body component while the wall penetrating component continues to rotate such that interacting threads of the two components pull the wall penetrating component further into the body component. As the wall penetrating component is pulled further into the body component one or more retention arms are expanded outwardly behind a rear surface of the wall.

HOT JOINT FASTENER

A method for joining together different components or different sections of a single component, wherein at least one of the components is a thermoplastic fiber composite component, by using a threaded fastener. Heat is used for softening the thermoplastic fiber composite component to be joined together with the threaded fastener. A joined-together fiber composite component of a vehicle, aircraft or spacecraft, can be obtained by the disclosed method.

Micro-Standoff for Blind Holes
20180156259 · 2018-06-07 ·

A standoff fastener for attaching to a blind hole in a metal panel. The fastener has a substantially cylindrical body with a short shank that extends downwardly from the body into the hole. The shank has an inwardly extending collar with a first inwardly facing chamfer on the top and a second outwardly facing chamfer located on the bottom. The body has a shoulder at the bottom with a circular recess adjacent to and encircling the shank. The shank is radially divided into four equal segments which are separated by four radial slots. When the shank is spread outwardly by a center installation punch pressing against the first chamfer, the outer distal edge of the shank is pressed into the side wall of the hole, while an edge at the top of the second chamfer embeds into the end wall of the hole.

BLIND RIVET ELEMENT, PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF

In order to further develop a blind rivet element (5) comprising a head (51), an adjoining hollow shaft (53), the outer side of which has an outer diameter smaller than the head (51), and an internal thread (54) provided inside the shaft (53) and having an axial separation from the head (51), in such a way that when installed the blind rivet element (5) always forms a controlled deformation, in particular in the form of a bulge, at the same specifiable location, it is proposed that the shaft (53) is provided with a radially outwardly protruding adjustment contour (55) in the region of the head (51), that the shaft (53) has a curvature (57) formed in the radial direction and that said curvature (57) is arranged between the adjustment contour (55) and the internal thread (54).

METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING EQUIPMENT ON A SUPPORT OF A TURBOMACHINE

A method for assembling equipment on a support of a turbo-machine. The method comprises the step of mechanically assembling the equipment to a part of the support by means of a fastening device and a further step consisting of providing a coating layer of resin at the interface between the fastening device and the support part. The coating layer allows to perfectly seal the interface between the fastening device and the support part thus avoiding the oxidation of the internal surface without painting.

Coupling member, a method of fixing the coupling member to an object, and a display device having the coupling member

A coupling member includes a body including a first section, a second section, and a third section; a first screw part disposed along a first inner portion of the body corresponding to the first section; a second screw part disposed along a second inner portion of the body corresponding to the second section; and a non-screw part disposed in a third inner portion of the body corresponding to the third section, wherein the non-screw part is connected to at least one of the first screw part and the second screw part.

BLIND RIVET NUT

A blind rivet nut includes a rivet sleeve having a set head, a deformation region for forming the closing head, and a threaded section having a female thread. The female thread comprises maximally four complete thread turns, which produces a blind rivet nut with a low mass.

Rivet Nut

An apparatus providing mating alignment between internal threading of a rivet nut and the external threading of the mandrel of an unclaimed installation tool before anchoring the rivet nut in a hole in a substrate, or the external threading of an unclaimed threaded fastener after anchoring in the substrate hole. The improvements include a bushing sleeve seated in a counterbore in the rivet nut, for guiding the external threading of the mandrel or fastener to the internal threading of the rivet nut. The sleeve also enables play during upset of the rivet nut, and provides visual confirmation whether the rivet nut has been properly anchored in the hole of substrate.

Rivet nut with compression limiter shoulder

The rivet nut (22) includes: the threaded attachment to replace the weld nut, the collar to spread the load interface to plastic panel (14) and to the attached component, room for a sleeve type compression limiter (24), or a collar that would be an integrated compression limiter.

Piece to be crimped on a support, device comprising such a piece and methods for manufacturing such a piece and such a device

Piece to be crimped on a support, comprising a bearing head and a shaft comprising a crimping section intended to be deformed when crimping the piece, the crimping section comprising a first hollow section adjacent to the bearing head and a second section adjacent the first section, the second section being configured to deform outside of the piece into a crimping flange for crimping the piece on the support, and the first section is configured to deform inside the hollow space of the shaft into a clearance flange in order to limit stresses on the support when crimping the piece.
