MAGNETIC LEVITATION BEARING, MAGNETIC LEVITATION ROTOR SUPPORT ASSEMBLY, AND COMPRESSOR
A magnetic levitation bearing, a magnetic levitation rotor support assembly, and a compressor. The magnetic levitation bearing is used for supporting a rotor by interacting with a thrust disc on the rotor, and comprises: a radial stator core having an annular structure, which is disposed on a radial outer side of the thrust disc and corresponds to the thrust disc in an axial direction of the rotor, the radial stator core and the thrust disc being separated by a first radial gap X1; and a radial control coil, which is disposed on the radial stator core and can generate a radial electromagnetic force to the thrust disc in a radial direction of the rotor.
ACTIVE MAGNETIC BEARING APPARATUS
An active magnetic bearing apparatus for supporting a rotor of a rotary machine comprises an axial magnetic bearing unit and a radial magnetic bearing unit mounted directly to one another. One of the axial magnetic bearing unit and the radial magnetic bearing unit is mounted to a support for attachment to a housing of the rotary machine.
ORC turbine and generator, and method of making a turbine
A turbine and a turbine-generator device for use in electricity generation. The turbine has a universal design and so may be relatively easily modified for use in connection with generators having a rated power output in the range of 50 KW to 5 MW. Such modifications are achieved, in part, through use of a modular turbine cartridge built up of discrete rotor and stator plates sized for the desired application with turbine brush seals chosen to accommodate radial rotor movements from the supported generator. The cartridge may be installed and removed from the turbine relatively easily for maintenance or rebuilding. The rotor housing is designed to be relatively easily machined to dimensions that meet desired operating parameters.
STRAY FLUX COMPENSATION IN A MAGNETIC BEARING DEVICE
A magnetic bearing device for magnetically suspending a rotor (22) for rotation about a rotation axis (A) comprises an amplifier device, a first main coil (p) and a second main coil (n). In order to compensate for a stray flux that is created when the main coils are supplied with currents from the amplifier device, a compensation coil (c) is connected between a common node of the main coils and the amplifier device with such polarity that a current flowing through the compensation coil will diminish the stray flux caused by the main coils (p, n).
Radial-axial magnetic bearing having an integrated back-up bearing and method for operating the magnetic bearing
A magnetic bearing may include an inner ring and an outer ring arranged concentrically. The inner ring and the outer ring may be mounted rotatably relative to each other by way of axial and radial magnets. The magnetic bearing may also include a back-up bearing, which is integrated into at least one of the outer ring or the inner ring both in an axial direction and in a radial direction. The outer ring may be multipiece and may include a recess that opens inwards and receives the inner ring. Further, the back-up bearing may be made of aluminum, austenitic steel, bronze, or ceramic, and the back-up bearing may operate as a shielding device that shields magnetic fields emitted by the axial and radial magnets from one another.
Spinning rotor shaft, bearing arrangement for the active magnetic support of such a spinning rotor shaft and spinning rotor drive device
A bearing arrangement (100) for a spinning rotor shaft (200) of an open-end spinning device, a spinning rotor shaft (200) for such a bearing arrangement (100) and a spinning rotor drive device comprising such a bearing arrangement (100) and such a spinning rotor shaft (200). The bearing arrangement (100) comprises at least one active magnetic radial bearing (110) for the spinning rotor shaft (200) which can be influenced by means of an electronic control system (300). The bearing arrangement is characterized in that the bearing arrangement (100) comprises an active magnetic axial bearing (130) for the spinning rotor shaft (200) which can be influenced by means of the or another electronic control system (300).
THRUST ACTIVE MAGNETIC BEARING FOR SHAFT SLOW ROLL CONTROL
A thrust magnetic bearing integrated with an induction machine and methods for using the same for slow roll control of rotors and other rotating components is provided. The rotor can include a shaft and a thrust bearing disk. The thrust magnetic bearing can include thrust bearing stators positioned axially adjacent to the thrust bearing disk and they can be configured to apply axial magnetic forces to the thrust bearing disk. The induction machine can be configured to generate a rotating magnetic field that causes a torque to be applied to the thrust bearing disk in a predetermined rotational direction. In one aspect, the induction machine can include a radial stator positioned adjacent to a circumference of the thrust bearing disk and two or more circumferentially offset windings. In another aspect, the induction machine can position the two or more circumferentially offset windings on the thrust bearing stators.
