A bearing cage for retaining rolling elements of a rolling element bearing. The bearing cage is made of a sheet metal element. The cage provides at least one cage pocket configured to receive at least one rolling element. The at least one cage pocket is formed by two abutting cage bars that extend axially between a first and a second axially displaced ring element. The bearing cage is made of a one-piece sheet metal element and the first and the second ring element is undivided in its circumference without any joints or connections for joining an interrupted ring element. Furthermore, a rolling element bearing and a method of producing the bearing cage is provided.

A method for lubricating a rolling element bearing, the method comprising a step of providing a bearing cage for retaining rolling elements when the bearing cage is in use, the bearing cage having at least one first ring structure to which at least one first cage bar is connected. The at least one first cage bar is constructed so that a diameter of the bearing cage is largest at one of a point or a region along the length of the at least one first cage bar so as to improve lubricant flow towards the rotational center of rolling elements when the bearing cage is in use.

CAGE SEGMENT OF A SEGMENTED BEARING CAGE

A cage segment for a segmented bearing cage for large rolling bearings includes first and second lateral sides and first and second ends that together define a pocket configured to receive a rolling body. The first and second lateral sides each include an inner surface configured to face a running surface of the rolling body, and the first and second ends each include an inner surface configured to face end surfaces of the rolling body. The inner surface of the first lateral side includes at least one contact element protruding into the pocket and configured to contact the at least one rolling body, and the inner contact element is continuously connected to the first lateral face. Furthermore, a material thickness of the inner contact element corresponds substantially to a material thickness of the first lateral side at a location spaced from the at least one inner contact element.

An axial roller bearing includes a first bearing including a first cage and a first plurality of rollers and a second bearing including a second cage and a second plurality of rollers. The axial roller bearing further includes a first washer positioned on a side of the first bearing, a second washer positioned on a side of the second washer which is opposite from the side of the first bearing on which the first washer is positioned, and a connecting washer positioned between the first bearing and the second bearing. The first cage is attached at an inner side to the first washer and at an outer side to the connecting washer. The second cage is attached at an inner side to the connecting washer and at an outer side to the second washer.

The rolling bearing strip includes: a plurality of rolling bearings disposed in spaced apart relation; and a flexible separator cage for positioning the plurality of spaced apart rolling bearings, the flexible separator cage including interlocking first and second ends, the first end of the separator cage including a wall defining a projecting member and the second end of the separator cage including a wall defining a receiving member, the first end projecting member and the second end receiving member being in opposed facing relationship and the first end projecting member extending into the second end receiving member to secure the first end to the second end and form an annular, continuous rolling bearing ring.

THRUST BEARING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SAME

A thrust bearing includes: a retainer that is provided with a plurality of pockets; a plurality of rollers that are arranged so as to freely rotate inside the plurality of pockets; and at least one first race that has an annular-shaped first race section in which the plurality of rollers move. The first race is provided with a hook curl section that is formed by bending the first race section from an outer-diameter-side periphery thereof toward the inner-diameter side obliquely in the radial direction, and an outer peripheral surface of the retainer has a conical surface that is formed so as to be substantially parallel to an inner peripheral surface of the hook curl section. The inner peripheral surface of the hook curl section holds the retainer without separating therefrom by contacting the outer peripheral surface of the retainer in a sliding manner.

An axial roller bearing includes a first bearing including a first cage and a first plurality of rollers and a second bearing including a second cage and a second plurality of rollers. The axial roller bearing further includes a first washer positioned on a side of the first bearing, a second washer positioned on a side of the second washer which is opposite from the side of the first bearing on which the first washer is positioned, and a connecting washer positioned between the first bearing and the second bearing. The first cage is attached at an inner side to the first washer and at an outer side to the connecting washer. The second cage is attached at an inner side to the connecting washer and at an outer side to the second washer.
