Disc brake caliper

A disc brake (10) of the type including a pivoting lever having eccentric journals which act on a pair of tappets is disclosed. The tappets are adjusted in length by rotation, and each tappet has a tappet gear (22). A centrally located intermediate gear (24) is provided between the tappet gears to form a gear train, synchronizing the rotation of the two tappets and therefore ensuring that they remain the same length. The centrally located intermediate gear (24) includes a socket (26) for receiving a centrally located adjuster. The adjuster may be installed and removed from the disc brake through an aperture at the rear of the brake caliper, without any substantial disassembly of the brake and without de-synchronizing the tappets or even interrupting the gear train between the tappets.

Disc brake

A disc brake having a caliper, a piston, an operating shaft, a wear adjustment mechanism, and a transmission path. The caliper may straddle a rotor and may retain first and second brake pads. The piston may be slidable within the caliper. The operating shaft may apply an actuating force to advance the piston when the operating shaft is actuated. The transmission path of the wear adjustment mechanism may include a one-way clutch.

Disc Brake for a Vehicle, Particularly for a Commercial Vehicle

A disc brake for a vehicle, particularly for a commercial vehicle, includes a brake caliper which straddles a brake disc and in which an application device is arranged, a single-piece rotary lever which has an eccentric element, and at least one brake plunger which is designed as a power screw arrangement having a rotational axis and with which, when the rotary lever is actuated, at least one brake pad can be pressed against the brake disc. The rotary lever is arranged in the brake caliper such that it can pivot relative thereto, and is supported directly or by way of one or more elements connected therebetween, on said brake caliper, in at least one support region. The rotary lever, which can pivot relative to the brake plunger, has at least one convexly-formed section on the side thereof that lies opposite the support point on the brake caliper, and this section lies against a matching concave end face in the axial extension of the rotational axis of said power screw arrangement.

DISC BRAKE

A brake carrier for an air-actuated disc brake. The brake carrier may have first and second carrier portions that may include a mounting arrangement and a recess. The recess may define a circumferential abutment surface for restraining motion of a brake pad in a circumferential direction and a radial abutment surface for restraining motion of the brake pad in a radially inward direction.

Disc brake

A disc brake having a caliper, a housing bore, a guide insert, and a piston. The housing bore extends inboard from an outboard face of a housing portion of the caliper. The guide insert may have an inner guide bore and may be mounted within the housing bore. The piston may be slideable within the inner guide bore relative to the guide insert so as to urge a brake pad towards a rotor.

Electrically actuated friction brake

To reduce the attainable actuation times of an electrically actuated friction brake and simultaneously keep the friction brake inexpensive, an electrically actuated friction brake with a brake pad (3) actuated by an actuation device (10) is proposed, wherein for braking the actuation device (10) is driven by a spring and is held open by an electrical actuator (12), so that the spring actuates the friction brake (1) in case of a power loss, wherein a first transmission element (5), that is connected to the brake pad (3), and a second transmission element (8) with an elevation curve (17) are provided and a coupling element (15) is provided on the first transmission element (5), wherein a follower element (14) is arranged on the coupling element (15) that follows the elevation curve (17) under the action of the spring for actuating the first transmission element (5).

DISC BRAKE, MORE PARTICULARLY FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES

A disk brake includes a brake disc, a brake shaft having a rotation axis that lies parallel to a main plane of the brake disc, a brake pad lying on a same side as the brake shaft relative to the brake disc, a pressure piece disposed between the brake shaft and the brake pad, a first limiting device configured to limit, to a predefined first extent, the displaceability of the pressure piece relative to the brake disc in a direction parallel to the rotation axis of the brake shaft, and a second limiting device configured to limit, to a predefined second extent, the displaceability of the brake shaft relative to the brake disc in a direction parallel to the rotation axis of the brake shaft, the second limiting device comprising a first stop on the pressure piece and a second stop on the brake shaft.

Compressed-air disc brake and pressure piece therefor

A vehicle brake (2, 102), in particular a utility vehicle compressed-air disc brake, includes a brake caliper (4, 104), a pressure piece guide (8, 108), which is arranged in the brake caliper (4, 104), and a pressure piece (6, 106), which is guided in the pressure piece guide (8, 108) along a movement axis (10, 110). The pressure piece guide (8, 108) is designed as a recess (12, 112), and the pressure piece (6, 106) has an outer contour (14, 114) corresponding to the recess. The pressure piece guide (108) and/or the outer contour (14) of the pressure piece are/is divided, on both sides of the pressure piece (6), into a plurality of curved, mutually spaced partial surfaces (16, 116).
