An axle assembly that may include a housing assembly, a case, an interaxle differential unit, drive pinion, and an output shaft. The axle assembly may further include a clutch collar that is moveable between a first position and a second position to engage and disengage a rotatably drivable member and the drive pinion.

Cylindrical transmission

A cylindrical transmission includes a housing, an input shaft and an output shaft. The housing includes several circular discs having outside lips, the input shaft and the output shaft being provided on centre lines of the circular discs. The driving gears are provided on the input shaft; and a rotary disc having internal teeth is provided on the output shaft. Several gear shafts are provided between two adjacent circular discs, the gear shafts are located on the outer peripheries of the driving gear between the two adjacent circular discs, several gears are provided on each gear shaft, the gear shaft is adjacent to the rotary disc, one of the several gears is separated from or engaged with the rotary disc internal teeth, and all the circular discs are connected to each other via the outside lips.

The torque limiter includes first and second sleeves. The first sleeve is fitted to the first input shaft unrotatably relative to the first input shaft. The second sleeve is fitted to the second input shaft unrotatably relative to the second input shaft. The first and second sleeves are layered in a radial direction of the first and second input shafts so as to be pressed against each other with a radial surface pressure to limit a torque transmitted between the first and second sleeves to a limiting value.

Furthermore, the invention relates to a drive train for a motorized vehicle, comprising a transmission drivingly couplable with a drive machine and a differential operatively connected to a output shaft of the transmission, wherein the differential has a transmission housing, a transmission input, two transmission output shafts, and a rotary gear transmission. The transmission input is operatively connected to the output shaft of the transmission and the transmission output shafts are each input-connectable to a vehicle wheel. With the drive train, at least two brake elements are provided for a parking brake, of which a first brake element is used for locking one of the transmission output shafts of the differential and a second brake element for locking the transmission input of the differential.

MULTI-AXIS FINAL DRIVE ASSEMBLY

A final drive assembly for a vehicle drive axle having first and second axle-shafts that are configured to rotate about a common first axis. The final drive assembly includes a first gear-set configured to be operatively connected to the first axle-shaft. The final drive assembly also includes a second gear-set configured to be operatively connected to the second axle-shaft. The final drive assembly additionally includes an electric motor configured to provide an electric motor torque input to each of the first and second gear-sets and arranged on a second axis that is parallel to the first axis.
