Patient ventilation device including blower with scallopped shroud
A blower for a respiratory apparatus includes an impeller configured to rotate to pressurize the supply of gas. The impeller includes a shroud with a plurality of vanes extending from a surface of the shroud toward the gas inlet. Each vane radiates outwards from a hub in the shroud that is configured to receive a motor shaft. The outer diameter of the shroud varies between maximum portions with a maximum outer diameter and minimum portions with a minimum outer diameter. The maximum portions are located at the vanes and the minimum portions are located between the vanes. In addition, each vane has an intermediate point located a predetermined distance from the hub that marks the beginning of a curvature of the vane in the direction of the impeller's rotation. The curvature of the vane is located between the intermediate point and the radially outermost end of the vane.
Cylinder head gasket and stainless steel sheet for cylinder head gasket
A cylinder head gasket includes a composite member formed of a metal substrate and a rubber layer provided to both surfaces of the substrate. The substrate is formed of stainless steel having a content of C that is 0 to 0.15 mass %, a content of Si that is 0 to 0.5 mass %, a content of Mn that is 0 to 2.0 mass %, a content of Cr that is 11.5 to 13.0 mass %, a content of N that is 0 to 0.5 mass %, a content of P that is 0 to 0.040 mass %, a content of S that is 0 to 0.030 mass %, a content of Ni that is 0 to 0.6 mass %, the balance Fe, and inevitable impurities. The stainless steel forming the substrate has a 0.2% proof stress of 1,300 to 1,500 MPa.
SEALING ARRANGEMENT FOR SEALING A PART WITH A SEALING SURFACE, METHOD OF SEALING A SEALING SURFACE OF A PART
A sealing arrangement for sealing a part with a sealing surface includes an adhesive member and a seal contacting plate sealingly attached to the sealing surface by the adhesive member.
MULTI-LAYER GASKET WITH IMPROVED FATIGUE RESISTANCE
A multi-layer head gasket having at least two active layers and a shim layer sandwiched there between. The gasket and shim layer include cylinder openings aligned with the cylinders disposed within an engine block. The shim layer incorporates a plated portion for adding topography to an otherwise flat shim layer, the areas of plating determined based on FEA and/or pressure film load testing, for improving fatigue resistance, sealing pressure, and/or loading characteristics of the gasket.
Cylinder head gasket
A cylinder head gasket to be mounted between a cylinder block and a cylinder head of an engine includes: at least one bore-hole plate having a bore hole which corresponds to a cylinder bore of the cylinder block; and a main plate disposed so as to surround the bore-hole plate, wherein the bore-hole plate and the main plate are separated from each other without being in contact with each other, while being connected with each other with a heat insulating member interposed between the bore-hole plate and the main plate.
Gasket manufacturing method
A gasket manufacturing method is provided. The gasket has a base material with a bead and an elastomeric gasket body disposed in a top portion of the bead. The method includes sequentially forming the bead on one part of a plane of the base material and applying a molding material of the gasket body to the top of the bead. When forming the bead on the one part of the plane, a protrusion is formed in each end in the width direction in the top of the bead. The protrusions are utilized as a coating width defining means of the molding material when applying the molding material to the top of the bead.
Seal, assembly, and methods of using the same
A seal including a metal annular body having an inner diameter and an outer diameter, the annular body including a main body portion including a first lip extending axially from the main body portion, the first lip adapted to provide a radial seal; and a second lip extending radially from the main body portion toward the outer diameter, the second lip adapted to provide an axial seal.
SEAL RING GROUPS
Seal ring groups to be assembled with edges of through holes of a gasket includes a plurality of sealing groups. One of the plurality of sealing groups has an inner peripheral shape different from an inner peripheral shape of another of the plurality of sealing groups to distinguish one sealing group from another sealing group.
Gasket and flange connection structure for plumbing instrument using the same
A gasket and flange connection structure for a plumbing instrument including a substantially annular core (30) coated with a coating part (31) and formed with annular seal surfaces (32) on both surfaces. These annular seal surfaces (32) are provided so as to be capable of making sealed contact with any of flange surfaces (20, 21, and 22) of a flat seat shape flange, a full-flat seat shape flange, and a grooved-shape flange for allowing shared use. Configured on outer peripheral sides of the annular seal surfaces (32) are extended mounting parts (33) having a plurality of different diameters in accordance with the outer diameters of the various flange surfaces.
Spring wire ends to faciliate welding
Spring rings and closed wire loops each can have two ends that are connected. The connected ends can be welded. The connected ends can be aligned for welding by incorporating complementary surfaces so that when joined, the tip at the first end mate to the tip at the second end. The mating can be self-aligning spatially and radially. The spring rings and the closed wire loops can be used in many applications, including in connector applications and seal applications.
