Rotary union with bellows seal
A rotary union includes a housing having a fluid inlet, a rotating machine component rotatably supported in the housing, a rotating seal member associated with the rotating machine component, a non-rotating seal member slidably and sealably disposed within the housing adjacent the rotating seal member, and an expandable seal disposed between and sealably engaging each of the non-rotating seal member and the housing. The expandable seal includes two end portions, one of the two end portions engaged to the non-rotating seal member and the other of the two end portions engaged to the housing, and an expandable portion disposed axially between the two end portions, the expandable portion having an axial length that varies based on a pressure of a hydraulic fluid that is present at the fluid inlet.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A ROTARY DEVICE
A rotary device having a housing, a rotating machine component, a rotating member associated with the rotating machine component, a non-rotating member disposed within the housing adjacent the rotating member, and a sensor array disposed in the housing. The sensor array includes a plurality of sensing elements that are integrated with a control device and a wireless communication device. The wireless communication device is configured to communicate with a central control that is remotely located relative to the housing using electromagnetic waves.
ROTARY UNION
A rotary union for transferring fluid media from a stationary machine part to a rotating machine part includes a stationary housing part having a working space and at least one media inlet channel, to introduce fluid media into the stationary housing part, a rotor having a fluid channel for a fluidic connection to the working space, a mechanical seal between the stationary housing part and the rotor including a rotor seal ring that rotates with the rotor, and an axially movable seal ring assembly having a stator seal ring, an elastomer shape-recovery element which, upon pressurization with liquid medium, is pressed axially against a wall of the stationary housing part and deforms elastically, and wherein the elastomer shape-recovery element resiliently recovers its shape upon depressurization and presses away from the wall and in the process pulls the seal ring assembly away from the rotor, opening the mechanical seal.
MULTIMEDIA-COMPATIBLE ROTARY UNION
A multimedia-compatible rotary union for transferring fluid media from stationary to a rotating machine parts, includes a stationary housing part having a media main channel, a rotor fluidically connected to the media main channel, a mechanical seal between the stationary housing part and the rotor and having a rotor seal ring that rotates with the rotor, and a stator seal ring, wherein the stator seal ring or the rotor seal ring is fastened to a seal ring carrier, forming a seal ring assembly, wherein pressure of a medium exerts a first axial force component on the seal ring assembly and closes the mechanical seal, and a tensioning device which is activated by the medium pressure when the medium pressure exceeds a predefined pressure threshold value and exerts a second axial force component on the seal ring assembly to influence the closing force of the mechanical seal.
MULTIMEDIA-COMPATIBLE ROTARY UNION
A multimedia-compatible rotary union for transferring different fluid media, having different viscosities, from a stationary machine part to a rotating machine part includes a stationary housing part having a working space, a rotor having a fluid channel and a fluidic connection to the working space, a mechanical seal between the stationary housing part and the rotor, including a rotor seal ring that rotates with the rotor, and an axially movable seal ring assembly having a stator seal ring, wherein the stationary housing part includes first and second media inlet channels that introduce fluid media into the stationary housing part, open into the working space, and allow fluid media under pressurization into the rotary union, and wherein the mechanical seal has a first balance ratio when the first media inlet channel is pressurized with medium and a second balance ratio when the second media inlet channel is pressurized with medium.
MULTIMEDIA-COMPATIBLE ROTARY UNION
A multimedia-compatible rotary union for transferring fluid media, having different viscosities, from a stationary machine part to a rotating machine part, includes a stationary housing part having a media main channel into which pressurized fluid media can be introduced, a rotor having a rotor fluid channel connected to the media main channel, a mechanical seal between the stationary housing part and the rotor having a rotor seal ring that rotates with the rotor, and a stator seal ring, wherein the stator seal ring or the rotor seal ring is fastened to an axially movable seal ring carrier, and wherein the mechanical seal defines first and second balance ratios, and a balance ratio switching device having a predefined switching threshold value for the medium pressure and configured to switch the mechanical seal from the first balance ratio to the second balance ratio when the switching threshold value is exceeded.
FLUID COUPLING ASSEMBLY
A fluid coupling assembly includes a sliding seal interface between rotating and non-rotating components, through which a fluid conduit extends. A flow of fluid is provided through the fluid conduit during operation. A hydrocyclone device has a body forming a cyclone chamber, the cyclone chamber having a feed opening, a base opening and an apex opening. A flow constrictor is disposed along the fluid conduit between an upstream portion and a downstream portion of the fluid conduit. The feed opening is fluid connected to the upstream portion of the fluid conduit and the apex opening is fluidly connected to the downstream portion of the fluid conduit. The base opening is fluidly connected to a passage having an outlet adjacent the sliding seal interface.
Portable faucet
A portable outdoor faucet is configured for attachment with a source of water via a hose. The faucet comprises a shower nob and a sprayer head, connected in relation to a main valve, which is operable to selectively direct fluid to the shower nob and the sprayer head. A hose attachment is connected in relation to the main valve. The hose attachment for attachment of a hose originating from a water source for directing water from the water source to the valve. A clamp assembly supports the main valve in relation to an environmental surface.
Rotatable Joint
An improved rotatable joint for fluid flow therethrough having (a) a housing, (b) a tube fitting axially aligned with the housing, (c) a bearing around the tube fitting and configured to permit relative rotation of the housing and tube fitting, and (d) a seal between the housing and tube fitting, the improvement wherein (i) the housing includes one or more leak detection ports and (ii) the rotatable joint is configured such that any leakage of fluid through the rotatable joint flows first around the seal to the bearing and then through one or more of the leak detection ports to the atmosphere.
