COMBUSTIBLE HEAT SOURCE COMPRISING AN IGNITION AID AND A BINDING AGENT
A combustible heat source for an aerosol-generating article, the combustible heat source comprising: carbon; an alkaline earth metal peroxide ignition aid; and a binding agent comprising at least one non-cellulosic film-forming polymer.
Flavor inhaler
A technique which, while avoiding excessive conduction of heat to the flavor source, reduces variance of heat conduction, and which makes it possible to reduce the weight and the cost of the flavor inhaler is disclosed. A flavor inhaler which, provided with a cylindrical holding member extending along a prescribed direction from a lighting end to a non-lighting end, includes a combustion-type heat source disposed at the lighting end, a flavor source which, in the prescribed direction, is arranged towards the non-lighting end with respect to the combustion-type heat source, and a cup-shape cup member which holds the flavor source and has a side wall and a bottom plate. The cup member is arranged with the bottom plate thereof disposed towards the non-lighting end with respect to the combustion-type heat source, and is inserted into the holding member oriented so as to open towards the lighting end or oriented so as to open towards the non-lighting end, and at least the side wall and the bottom plate configuring the cup member are configured from a material containing pulp, a binder and a metal soap.
Fixture including light guide and aerosol generating device including the fixture
Provided is a fixture including a base; and a light guide, which is positioned on the base and is configured to receive light emitted from a light source in a first direction and guide the received light to be emitted in a second direction crossing the first direction.
AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE WITH NON-COMBUSTIBLE COATING
There is provided an aerosol generating article (2) comprising a combustible heat source (4) having an upstream portion and a downstream portion. The aerosol generating article further comprises an aerosol-forming substrate (10) downstream of the heat source (4) and a wrapper (36) circumscribing an upstream portion of the aerosol-forming substrate (10) and the downstream portion of the combustible heat source (4). The aerosol generating article (2) further comprises a non-combustible coating (42) provided on the upstream portion of the combustible heat source (4) and not on the downstream portion of the combustible heat source (4), the non-combustible coating having a thickness of between about 30 micrometres and about 250 micrometres.
AEROSOL-FORMING SUBSTRATE WITH NITROGEN-CONTAINING NUCLEOPHILIC COMPOUND
An aerosol-forming substrate is provided, including: a) one or both of cellulose and cellulose derivatives; b) an aerosol-former present in an amount of 20 weight percent to 58 percent on a dry weight basis based on a total amount of the aerosol-forming substrate; c) from 0 weight percent to 5 weight percent of tobacco on a dry weight basis based on the total amount of the aerosol-forming substrate; d) a nitrogen-containing nucleophilic compound; and e) a disaccharide. An aerosol-generating article including a substrate portion containing the aerosol-forming substrate is also provided. An aerosol-generating system is also provided.
Organic-Based Nicotine Gel Compositions
Compositions include an aqueous organic-based gellant system and nicotine or a salt thereof. The compositions are readily prepared and stored in cartridges or used directly in a device for delivering nicotine to a user.
Smoking articles
Smoking articles are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a smoking article includes a heat source configured to generate heat upon ignition thereof, a first substrate material having an aerosol precursor composition associated therewith and a first end being fixedly engaged with the heat source, and an aerosol delivery component having opposed first and second ends, the first end of the aerosol delivery component being engaged with the second end of the first substrate material. In some aspects, the aerosol delivery component includes a second substrate material having the aerosol precursor composition associated therewith and being disposed about the first end of the aerosol delivery component and a tobacco material disposed between the second substrate material and the mouthpiece, the aerosol precursor composition associated with the first and second substrate materials being configured to produce an aerosol in response to the heat generated by the ignited heat source.
Reconstituted cannabis material for generating aerosols
An aerosol generating material is disclosed containing a reconstituted cannabis material. The reconstituted material can contain extracted cannabis fibers in combination with web building fibers, such as softwood fibers. The reconstituted cannabis material is capable of generating an aerosol, such as a smoke, that can have a conventional cannabis taste with reduced amounts of irritants and harsh components. In one embodiment, the reconstituted cannabis material is formed from plants that are low in cannabinoids, such as THC. Cannabinoids, such as THC and/or CBD, can then be topically applied to the reconstituted plant material for not only controlling the amount of cannabinoids contained in an aerosol generated by the material but also for producing consistent and uniform deliveries.
Article for use with apparatus for heating smokable material
Disclosed is an article for use with apparatus for heating smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material. The article includes a mass of smokable material. An exterior of the article has a length (L), a width (W) perpendicular to the length (L), and a depth (D) perpendicular to each of the length (L) and the width (W). The length (L) is greater than or equal to the width (W), and the width (W) is greater than the depth (D).
METHOD FOR APPLYING HEAT CONDUCTING PATCHES TO A MATERIAL WEB
A smoking article is provided, including a carbonaceous combustible heat source, an aerosol-forming substrate, and a wrapper circumscribing at least the heat source and the aerosol-forming substrate. One or more heat conducting elements overlie a rear portion of the heat source and an adjacent front portion of the aerosol-forming substrate. At least one heat conducting element includes a patch of thermally conductive printable medium printed onto the wrapper. Also provided is a method for applying heat conducting patches onto a web of smoking article wrapper material, wherein at least some of the patches include an area of thermally conductive printable medium.
