ARTICLE FOR USE WITH APPARATUS FOR HEATING SMOKABLE MATERIAL

Disclosed is an article for use with apparatus for heating smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material. The article includes a mass of smokable material. An exterior of the article has a length (L), a width (W) perpendicular to the length (L), and a depth (D) perpendicular to each of the length (L) and the width (W). The length (L) is greater than or equal to the width (W), and the width (W) is greater than the depth (D).

Nicotine and cellulose containing sheet

A sheet is provided including a cellulosic material including cellulose powder, a weight ratio of cellulose powder to total cellulosic material in the sheet on a dry weight basis being greater than about 1:2; and one or more nicotine salts, at least about 20% by weight of the one or more nicotine salts being monoprotic.

Smoking article with heat resistant sheet material

A smoking article includes a sheet material including a fibrous layer formed of cellulosic fibres and at least 50% by weight of inorganic filler material having a particle size in range of from 0.1 microns and 50 microns, wherein the sheet material has a tensile strength of at least 900 N/m. The fibrous layer includes a binder material, such as an organic binder material. The organic binder material can be a cellulosic binder material. A coating layer may be provided on at least one side of the fibrous layer.

Machine for producing substantially cylindrical articles

Machine and method for producing a substantially cylindrical article, which comprises a tubular body, a container element, arranged in the area of one end of the tubular element, a heat generating element, partially housed inside the container element, and loose material for generating flavour; in use, the loose material is inserted into the container element, vertically oriented, and the heat generating element is partially inserted into the container element by being moved downwards, so as to obtain a combined element; subsequently, the combined element is at least partially inserted into the tubular body.

METHOD OF GENERATING AEROSOL

Provided herein is a method of generating aerosol from an aerosol-generating substrate using an aerosol-generating device with at least one heat source disposed to heat, but not burn, the aerosol-generating substrate in use. The aerosol-generating substrate has first and second portions having substantially the same composition, and/or has first and second portions and there is no physical separation between the portions. The method includes heating the aerosol-generating substrate in the aerosol-generating device, so that a temperature profile of the first portion of the aerosol-generating substrate during heating is different from a temperature profile of the second portion of the aerosol-generating substrate.

Multilayer combustible heat source

A multilayer combustible heat source for a smoking article is provided, including a combustible first layer including carbon; and a second layer in direct contact with the first layer, the second layer including carbon and at least one ignition aid, wherein the combustible first layer and the second layer are longitudinal concentric layers having a density of at least 0.6 g/cm.sup.3, and wherein the composition of the first layer is different from the composition of the second layer.

Flavor inhaler and cup

A flavor inhaler (100) comprises a cup (50) having a cup shape. The cup is inserted into the holder (30) in a direction in which an opening of the cup is directed toward the ignition end side and a bottom plate (52) of the cup is arranged at the non-ignition end side. The cup has a claw portion (54) that protrudes into an inside of the cup from an inner wall surface of a side wall (51) of the cup. The claw portion has at least an engagement portion (54A) that engages an end surface of the combustion type heat source (70) in a non-ignition end side.
