Systems for extracting solute from a source material

A system is provided that includes a solvent source; a canister adapted to contain plant material and positioned downstream of the solvent source; an extract container positioned for receiving and collecting at least a portion of an extract solution from at least the canister, the extract container further positioned to separate at least a portion of the solvent from at least the portion of the extract solution, thereby providing a recycled solvent; a solvent collection line for directing the recycled solvent; and a coolant line positioned for directing coolant that is thermally coupled to at least a portion of the solvent collection line for cooling the recycled solvent that is flowing through the solvent collection line.

Terpenoid and Cannabinoid Mixtures

A micelle mixture including a solute and a liquid, the solute including at least one of a terpene compound, a terpenoid compound, a phenolic compound, a terpenophenolic compound, and a terpenoresorcinolic compound. A multimer aggregate comprising a solute and a liquid, the solute comprising at least one of a terpene compound, a terpenoid compound, a phenolic compound, a terpenophenolic compound, a terpenoresorcinolic compound, a THCa compound, a CBDa compound, a CBNa CBCa compound, a THC compound, a CBN compound, a CBD compound, a CBC compound, a CBGa compound, a CBG compound, a THCVa compound, and a THCV compound.

Tobacco-derived composition

Isolated O-methylated flavonoid compounds and mixtures of o-methylated flavonoid compounds derived from a plant of the Nicotiana species and methods of obtaining such compounds are provided. The o-methylated flavonoids can be combined with tobacco materials to produce tobacco products (e.g., smoking articles) to enhance the sensory characteristics thereof. The o-methyl flavonoids can alternatively be combined with non-tobacco materials for dietary supplement and/or pharmaceutical use.

Embodiments described herein provide a method of making a tobacco extract comprising; (a) contacting tobacco with an extraction solvent in a first chamber such that tobacco components are extracted from the tobacco into the extraction solvent, wherein the extraction solvent is a supercritical fluid in the first chamber; (b) passing the extraction solvent containing tobacco components along a line towards a second chamber, wherein a valve is present in the line and the conditions downstream of the valve are such that the extraction solvent is subcritical; and (c) pumping entrapment solvent into a flow downstream of the valve, wherein the tobacco components are released from the extraction solvent by transfer to subcritical conditions and are dissolved in the entrapment solvent, whereby the tobacco components dissolved in entrapment solvent are collected in the second chamber.
