SMOKELESS TOBACCO PRODUCTS WITH STARCH COMPONENT
A smokeless tobacco product configured for insertion into the mouth of a user is provided. The smokeless tobacco product includes a tobacco material and a specific starch material that imparts specific textural properties to the product. A process for preparing a smokeless tobacco product with a desired textural property is also provided.
SOLUTION COMPRISING NICOTINE IN UNPROTONATED FORM AND PROTONATED FORM
There is provided a nicotine solution comprising a carrier; nicotine in unprotonated form and in protonated form; and one or more acids, wherein at least benzoic acid, levulinic acid or a mixture thereof is present; and wherein the total content of acid present in the solution is no greater than 0.6 mole equivalents based on the nicotine.
MELTABLE SMOKELESS TOBACCO COMPOSITION
A meltable smokeless tobacco composition configured for insertion into the mouth of a user is provided. The smokeless tobacco composition includes a tobacco material and a lipid having a melting point of about 36° C. to about 45° C. An associated process is also provided. The process includes melting a lipid having a melting point of about 36° C. to about 45° C. to form a molten lipid composition, mixing a tobacco material with the molten lipid composition to form a molten smokeless tobacco composition, and cooling the molten smokeless tobacco composition to form a solidified smokeless tobacco composition.

Controlled release mentholated tobacco beads
Encapsulated tobacco beads and processes of making the encapsulated tobacco beads are disclosed. According to an embodiment, a process of making encapsulated tobacco beads comprises mixing tobacco particles and menthol in an aqueous solution to form a wet mass; extruding the wet mass to form extrudates; spheronizing the extrudates to form tobacco beads; drying the tobacco beads; contacting the beads with a solution comprising a cation; and introducing the contacted tobacco beads into a solution of coating material in a concentration effective to induce ionic gelation of the coating material around the beads, to form encapsulated tobacco beads having gel coatings. According to another embodiment, an encapsulated tobacco bead comprises a core comprising tobacco particles and encapsulated menthol, an inner coating layer comprising hydroxypropyl methylcellulose or pectin, and an outer coating layer comprising an ionically-crosslinked gel.

GUM FOR CIGARETTE PAPER, CIGARETTE PAPER AND PROCESS FOR MAKING IT
A gum of vegetable origin for rolling cigarette paper including a solids content, includes a mixture of cannabinoids and edible oil, the edible oil being present in the mixture in a proportion p such that 0%≤p≤80% by weight of the compound. Since cannabinoids are soluble only in oil and the gum is intended to be brought to the mouth because it should be reactivatable by licking once coated, smoked and swallowed, oil is edible.
Material for inclusion in a smoking article
A smokeable material for inclusion in a smoking article, comprising tobacco coated with acacia gum, wherein the amount of acacia gum is at least 10% by weight of the tobacco.
Multi-phase delivery compositions and products incorporating such compositions
The present disclosure relates to compositions that are useful in the delivery of various materials. In particular, the compositions comprise a suspension wherein an internal phase material is surrounded by an external phase material. The internal phase specifically can be a hydrophilic material, and the external phase specifically can be a hydrophobic material. The materials are combined so that the internal phase is substantially encapsulated by the external phase such that release can be controlled in relation to osmotic pressure differentials. The suspension can be combined with a carrier, and various systems and products can be formed with the suspension and optional carrier, such as oral strips, spray delivery systems, smokeless tobacco products, aerosol delivery devices, cigarettes, and packaging.
FLAVORING SOLUTION
A flavoring solution for a smoking article comprising 25 to 55 wt % flavoring agent, 1 to 20 wt % cooling agent, 0.1 to 5 wt % sweetener, and a carrier solvent.
