VALVE OPENING/CLOSING TIMING CONTROL APPARATUS
A valve opening/closing timing control apparatus includes: a driving side rotational body synchronously rotating with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine; a driven side rotational body arranged in the driving side rotational body to share a rotational axis therewith and integrally rotating with a camshaft; advanced angle and retarded angle chambers defined between the driving side and driven side rotational bodies; a lock mechanism maintaining a relative rotational phase between the driving side and driven side rotational bodies by separately biasing first and second lock members to be engaged with first and second recesses; and a fluid controller releasing the locked state by supplying a hydraulic fluid to the first and second recesses, and controlling the relative rotational phase by supplying and discharging the hydraulic fluid to the advanced angle and retarded angle chambers.
Hydraulic camshaft adjusting device with spherical section-like lock
A hydraulic camshaft adjustment device (1) of the vane type, with a stator (2) and a rotor (3) arranged concentrically and rotatably inside the stator is provided. A locking device (6) for preventing a rotation between the rotor (3) and the stator (2) is arranged between these two components (2, 3) such that a locking element (7) of the locking device (6) creates an interlocking fit that blocks the rotation, the locking element (7) being designed in the nature of a plate.
Variable valve timing control apparatus
A variable valve timing control apparatus includes a driving-side rotation member, a driven-side rotation member, an intermediate lock mechanism including first and second lock members, first and second recess portions, and a guide groove, a sensor, and a control portion. The control portion performs a control so that the relative rotation phase is changed until a first stop state is established in a state where the relative rotation phase is in an unlocked state and one of the first and second lock members is positioned relative to one of the first and second recess portions at which the guide groove is formed at a side opposite from a side where the guide groove is formed. The control portion reverses a change direction of the relative rotation phase after the first stop state is established so that the relative rotation phase is changed until a second stop state is established.
CAMSHAFT PHASER USING ONE-WAY SLIPPER CLUTCHES
A camshaft phaser comprising an advance one-way clutch and a retard one-way clutch. The camshaft phaser comprises an input component arranged to receive torque from an engine, an advance inner ring, a plurality of rollers circumferentially arranged around the advance inner ring, an advance outer ring radially disposed between the input component and the advance inner ring, and an actuation assembly arranged to be disposed within a camshaft, the actuation assembly comprises advance locking pin assemblies arranged in advance channels and an actuator rod. For an advanced mode, the actuator rod is arranged to radially displace advance locking pin assemblies to non-rotatably connect the camshaft and advance inner ring, the rollers ride up ramps on advance outer ring, which expands radially to engage the input component. The retard clutch is substantially similar, and arranged diametrically opposed, to the advance clutch.
Valve timing control device
A valve timing control device includes: a driving side rotating body rotating in synchronization with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine (E); a driven side rotating body rotating integrally with a camshaft of the internal combustion engine and capable of rotating relative to the driving side rotating body; a fluid pressure chamber formed by the driving side rotating body and the driven side rotating body; a partition portion arranged in the fluid pressure chamber and partitioned into a retard chamber and an advance chamber an intermediate lock mechanism including a concave portion a lock member; and a phase control unit controlling the supply of a fluid to the retard chamber and the discharge of the fluid from the advance chamber or the supply of the fluid to the advance chamber and the discharge of the fluid from the retard chamber.
SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING VALVE OPENING/CLOSING TIMING
A system for controlling valve opening/closing timing that allows an unlocking operation to be reliably performed is configured. When extracting a lock member from a recess, a second control valve is set to an unlock position, a first control valve is set to a predetermined position, and a relative rotation phase is displaced. As a result, the relative rotation phase is displaced in a direction opposite to the direction of displacement by cam average torque from a camshaft. Afterward, by setting the first control valve to a neutral position, the relative rotation phase is displaced by the cam average torque, and when this displacement occurs, a state in which the lock member is separated from an inner wall of the recess is created, thus facilitating extraction of the lock member from the recess.
Valve timing control apparatus
A valve timing control apparatus includes a driving-side rotating member, a driven-side rotating member, a fluid pressure chamber defined by the driving-side rotating member and the driven-side rotating member and divided into a retarded angle chamber and an advanced angle chamber by a parting portion, an angle detecting portion detecting a relative angle of the driven-side rotating member relative to the driving-side rotating member, a fluid control mechanism controlling a supply and a discharge of an operation fluid to and from the fluid pressure chamber, an acceleration operation quantity detecting mechanism detecting an acceleration operation quantity, and a control portion setting either a normal drive mode or an acceleration drive mode as a control mode relative to the fluid control mechanism based on the acceleration operation quantity, and controlling the fluid control mechanism so that the relative angle corresponds to a target angle determined based on the set control mode.
VALVE OPENING/CLOSING TIMING CONTROL DEVICE
Provided is a valve opening/closing timing control device that can speedily achieve a stable operation at the time of starting an engine. The device includes a drive-side rotating body that is rotated in synchronism with a crankshaft and has a plurality of projecting portions, a driven-side rotating body that has a partition portion which forms an advance angle chamber and a retard angle chamber and that is rotated together with a camshaft for valve opening/closing, an intermediate lock mechanism switchable between a locked state and an unlocked state, a pump for supplying fluid to the advance angle chamber, the retard angle chamber or the intermediate lock mechanism, and a communication passage configured to establish communication between the advance angle chamber and the retard angle chamber disposed adjacent in a circumferential direction when the intermediate lock mechanism is under the locked state.
Valve timing control device and method of assembly thereof
A positioning pin 31 is inserted in a pin insertion hole 30 penetrating through a rotor 3 in an axial direction, and has both end portions held by a housing 1 and a cover 12 to prevent falling out thereof. A protrusion 31a of the positioning pin 31 protruding toward an inner side of a camshaft fitting recess 3g is engaged with a pin engagement groove 110 recessed on an outer circumference surface of an intake side camshaft 100, whereby the rotor 3 and the intake side camshaft 100 are positioned in a rotation direction.
