Apparatus and method for forming an antipollution device housing
A tool assembly for forming a workpiece with an outer surface into a housing with a non-round design outer profile. The tool assembly includes a number of jaw segments, each jaw segment having an internal surface for engaging the outer surface. The jaw segments are movable between a first condition and a second condition, in which the internal surfaces of the jaw segments substantially define the design outer profile of the housing. Each internal surface has a preselected end point associated therewith defined by a radius centered on the preselected end point that is substantially coincident with the portion of the design outer profile defined by the internal surface. Each jaw segment is movable toward the preselected end point therefor when moved from the first condition to the second condition, and away from the preselected end point therefor when moved from the second condition to the first condition.
EXHAUST GAS-PURIFYING CATALYST COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND AUTOMOBILE EXHAUST GAS-PURIFYING CATALYST
There are provided an exhaust gas-purifying catalyst composition that can purify hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and the like discharged from an internal combustion engine or the like, and can maintain excellent purification performance particularly under a wide range of conditions from low temperature to high temperature, and a method for producing the same, and an automobile exhaust gas-purifying catalyst. The present invention provides an exhaust gas-purifying catalyst composition for purifying carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and the like in exhaust gas, comprising at least Rh; a complex oxide that is a particular Ce-containing component (A) and/or a particular Zr-containing component (B); and alumina, wherein Rh is supported on alumina together with the complex oxide, an amount of Rh supported is 0.01 to 5 wt % based on a total amount of Rh, the complex oxide, and alumina, and a content of the complex oxide is 0.1 to 30 wt % in total based on the total amount of Rh, the complex oxide, and alumina, and the like.
Method for the preparation of a catalysed monolith
A method for the preparation of a catalyzed monolithic body or a catalyzed particular filter. The method includes the step of suctioning a sol-solution containing catalytically active material and metal oxide catalyst carriers or precursors thereof into pores of a monolithic substrate, solely by capillary forces and without the application of vacuum or pressure.
Catalyst structure
A catalyst structure, which makes it possible to reduce the flow passage resistance and raise the purification rate, is provided. A catalyst structure provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine comprises a base member which is formed by combining wire-shaped members, wherein the wire-shaped members do not include any wire-shaped member which is arranged to be orthogonal to a flow direction of an exhaust gas, and the wire-shaped members include wire-shaped members which are arranged obliquely with respect to the flow direction of the exhaust gas. The change in the cross-sectional area of the base member is suppressed by arranging the wire-shaped members obliquely with respect to the flow direction of the exhaust gas.
Device for providing a liquid additive
A device for providing a liquid additive, including at least one metallic insert, which is coated, at least in sections, with a plastic coating made of polyethylene (PE). At least one plastic structure made of a high-density polyethylene (HD-PE) or polypropylene (PP) is sprayed onto the plastic coating.
