RIVET-TYPE FASTENER
Examples of rivet-type fastener are described. The rivet-type fastener may further include a fastener pin. The fastener pin includes a planar head portion and a shaft longitudinally extending from the head portion. The fastener pin may further include a cantilevered snap element at a distal end of the shaft. A portion of the cantilevered snap element is flexibly moveable with respect to the axis of shaft. The rivet-type fastener comprises a fastener body which in turn comprises a collared portion with a central opening. A plurality of elongated portions extend orthogonally from the collared portion, wherein the elongated portions are radially positioned about the central axis and about the edges of the central opening.
Self-locking fixing device and antenna assembly
A self-locking fixing device and an antenna assembly are provided. The self-locking fixing device includes an inner mandrel arranged to include a nail head and a nail rod extending away from the nail head, and a bushing arranged to include a nail head bushing and a nail rod bushing extending away from the nail head bushing. A sidewall of the nail head bushing is provided with at least two elastic clamping units. If the inner mandrel is assembled with the bushing, the nail head is located in the nail head bushing, the nail rod is located in the nail rod bushing, and clamping portions of the elastic clamping units are engaged with an upper surface of the nail head to clamp the nail head in the nail head bushing.
Tolerance compensator clip to reduce assembly variation
A connection assembly is provided that includes a pin and a clip. The pin includes a head portion having two spaced flanges defining a slot therebetween, a tail portion defining a bulb, and a shaft extending between the head and tail portion. The clip includes a plurality of resilient fingers extending radially inward and a central cavity. The pin extends through the central cavity of the clip and the resilient fingers receives and rotationally engages with the bulb of the pin. In one form, the connection assembly connects a molded doghouse to an adjacent part.
CLIP
A clip includes a male member including a head portion and a shaft portion; a female member including a locking leg portion forming an insertion hole into which the shaft portion is inserted, and a flange portion provided in an upper periphery of the locking leg portion; and an engagement device restraining the head portion in the flange portion substantially at the same time when the locking leg portion comes to a use state by pushing the shaft portion into the insertion hole. Essential parts are the engagement device formed by a claw portion provided in one of the head portion and the flange portion, and a hole portion provided in the other of the head portion and the flange portion, and engaging the claw portion. The claw portion projects to a piece portion elastically moveable, and one portion of a hole forming portion dividing the hole portion is formed to be elastically moveable through the hole portion.
DOOR CURTAIN HOOK DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A door curtain hook device for a vehicle may include a frame mount configured to be fixed to a door frame of the vehicle; a curtain hook having a wedge portion configured to be coupled with the frame mount and a curtain locking portion in which a door curtain is hooked integrally formed thereon; and a door curtain mounting gap formed to have a hook structure in the curtain locking portion.
MULTI-PIECE FASTENER, CONNECTION SYSTEM AND CONNECTION METHOD FOR BASE STATION ANTENNA
A multi-piece fastener for mounting a parasitic element to a reflector of a base station antenna comprises first and second elements. The first element or the second element is configured to be anchored on the reflector. The first element is configured to space apart and electrically isolate the parasitic element from the reflector. The first element has a first clamping element, the second element has a second clamping element, and the first clamping element and the second clamping element are configured to clamp the parasitic element therebetween.
Grommet Removal Assemblies and Methods
A grommet removal assembly includes a grommet and a grommet removal tool. The grommet includes a body defining a longitudinal axis, a plurality of arms extending from the body, the plurality of arms defining first engagement ramps, and a plurality of legs extending from the body. The grommet removal tool includes a shaft and a plurality of wings extending from the shaft and defining a plurality of second engagement ramps. The first engagement ramps of the wings are capable of engagement with the second engagement ramps along the plurality of arms to draw the arms inward, toward the longitudinal axis of the body.
APPARATUS FOR A CAPTURED FASTENER ASSEMBLY WITH EXPANDING GROMMET
A fastener assembly that is configured to securely couple to a component includes a bolt, a limiter, and a grommet. The bold has a head, a shaft, and a medial ridge disposed around a portion of the shaft. The limiter has a brim and a tube, with the tube extending away from the brim. A grommet has a central passage extending through a top section. The top section further includes a central wall and a bottom surface. At least one tab extends from the bottom surface.
BLIND FASTENER WITH INTEGRATED ANTI-ROTATION FEATURE, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Fasteners and related systems according to the invention include a collet body having a first part of a two part anti-rotation arrangement and a cylinder body having a second part of the two part anti-rotation arrangement wherein the collet body and the cylinder body are mateably axially translatable with respect to each other, and have the same or similar outer diameter in some embodiments or not in others. A threaded member rotationally engages the collet body and compressively contacts the cylinder body during operation of the fastener to creating a clamping effect. Rotational interference between the first and second parts of the anti-rotation arrangement preferably occurs at sectional face portions of at least the collet body. Resistance to induced rotation of the cylinder body relative to a work piece rotation of the threaded member is preferably provided by a tool engaging a tool interface present on the cylinder body.
ATTACHMENT AND CONNECTING STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE COMPONENT
An attachment is configured to connect a first connecting plate of a vehicle component to a second connecting plate of a vehicle body. The attachment includes a body, first, second and third flanges, and a press-fit insert. The attachment is of an elastically deformable material and is configured to be inserted into first and second through holes of the first and second connecting plates. The flanges engage the connecting plates when the attachment is inserted into the through holes. The body includes a hole extending longitudinally within the body to accommodate the press-fit insert. The press-fit insert has a diameter greater than the diameter of the hole to form a snug connection between the press-fit insert and the hole. The insertion of the press-fit insert into the hole elastically deforms the attachment to urge the body radially against the connecting plates to provide a robust connection between the connecting plates.
